I love GH because it feels like a family than other soaps. Maurice, Laura, Tony, Genie, Vanessa, Rena, Wally, Nancy, Becky, Jonathan, all of them are great actors and they played their characters amazingly. I’m in love with any decade of GH, especially the 90s. This show may be outrageous at times with the ice machine in the 80s and lots of rich people, but it’s also about the common people as well. For example, Stone’s AIDS storyline we all know was iconic and realistic at the same time, and Michael and Kimberly played a huge part in that storyline.

This has become my addiction. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs so my choice is g h. For 60 years. Like most of the old actors but love some of the newer ones
I watch GH because of course Maurice honestly. I started watching with my Mom after school in 2002 and my whole family watched at the time now I’m the only one. Sonny has always been my favorite and a constant presence. I will never stop watching. Feels like my family.
I love watching GH. Been watching since I was a little girl, my aunt used to watched since it first began. I got used to watching so I continue the tradition. So many years, so many faces so many stories, it’s part of the television world. I literally grew up with most of the character like Luke and Laura, Bobby Spencer, Felicia, ac and sooooo many others. I will probably die and the show will continue, others in my family also watch the show. I love the actors and most of the story lines, specially when they involve real life problems such as diabetes, ALS, alcoholism, drug abuse, etc… congrats GH for being on the air all these years. I will like to see Steve Burton come back, he is such a big part of the GH history💙🥹💙

I am 62 years old, I don’t remember a time when I didn’t watch General Hospital. I watched with my mother and with my grandmother, I ran home from school to watch. So yes, I’ve watched my entire life.
@ LisFayte Same here watching with my mother and grandmother missing a lot though when I was in high school because I had to take a bus but trying to keep up with the show with reading the magazines and stuff and when I was working and before you tube and Hulu and stuff but I always tried to keep up to date on the show
I Love General Hospital watch everyday it's the cast the stories all of it. Its the not only the best Soap Opera it's the best show on TV period. No other Soap does it like GH.

I know what you mean only it was my dad who watched it with me from the 1980s. If I missed an episode he'd take notes to tell me everything! Sadly he passed away in 2014. Like you said, great memories 😀

I love watching General Hospital because it's my favorite #1 soap opera of all time!!! I grew up watching #GH for ages, and it really feels like my own extended family for me. I love the adventures, the romance, the heartbreak, the danger, the action, the love triangle stories, the passion, the history, the weddings, the Nurses Ball events, the cast, the crew, the characters, the storylines, and of course, the drama!!! I Love It Because It's So Special To Watch And Because It All Becomes A Different Story, One Thing To Another. It's Just So Fun To Be Watching And I'm Just Very Excited To Be Watching It And Even Though Sometimes I Don't Feel Like Watching I Just Have Too Because I Don't Know What I'll Be Missing. Because it is a daily struggle to find the latter episode of the show when you live in France (my country) where it never aired.
French audience has been so faithful to "Bald and Boring" or "Yawn and Restful", they never made room to better stuff...
Being a longtime fan of Elizabeth Taylor, I always been puzzled as a teenager reading about her fascination for this daytime show. The cat on a tin hot roof wanted to be a Cassadine ? I had to check that one.
30 decades later, when the internet became what it is, I understood why...
I did start binge watching the show on You Tube with Luke and Laura's wedding and I used to wander from the 80's to the the 90's (best era of all...)
I started watching current episodes on a daily basis in 2012.
But among all fans in here, I feel like I am Casey the Alien...
PS : Of course the vets are my all time favourites... Laura, Luke, Tracy, Bobbie, Anna, Robert, Helena, Nikolas, Monica, Allan, and so on...
Puisqu'il est question des anciens, quelle merveilleuse actrice que Jacklyn Zeman... Quel personnage... Quel parcours... Un de mes préférés... Ne nous leurrons pas : on sait le regard un peu condescendant porté par une certaine catégorie de la profession sur le soap opera... Et pourtant, certaines petites étoiles filantes ferait bien de passer par cette école extrêmement exigeante et formatrice, aussi bien en terme de rigueur que de talent... Dans l'épisode du 4/01/2024, Laura Wright n'a rien à envier à une Meryl Streep... Vraiment rien...
I watch it bc it's not like any other soaps (well maybe a few story lived ones ?) that dont only focus on who's married to who, who's cheating, who's pregnant, that kinda thing. It has action and better story's.
