Thought Little Book had great early and mid-palate appeal, but the finish was like Windex. I think this was a pretty honest review esp when downgrading the coveted JD CH. I’ve had several JD SBBP Ryes and all delicious except one which was so bad that it eventually became a mixer for cocktails.
I agree with you on the Coy Hill. I got buddies that don't believe me when I tell them that the SBBP JD are as good if not better. Which sucks when you look and compare the prices of the two. Won't be making that mistake again.
Judge, I also wasn't too impressed with Coy Hill this year. I'm happy to hear I'm not the only crazy one. Good whiskey, but I prefer a store pick of jack single barrel barrel proof also. Cheers!
Well, I have the Brown Foreman entries on your list. 1924 was solid. I liked this year's Coy Hill better than the older sample I have. Nice list Judge!
Wow….JDCH is out! I guess it all depends on what and how many bottles you have access to. Us mortals can’t compete with a channel nor should we try. It’s my number one lol. I’ve heard it’s a different beast from the Hazmat release, but it’s fantastic in my book. I passed on all the rest on that table. They are wayyyy overpriced. Cheers Judge!
Got a K.Luke batch 8 it was just okay certainly not worth 109 that it cost through Seelbach. Wasn’t impressed and won’t buy another unless I can try it first. Again it wasn’t terrible just not a 100 + bottle to me it was in the 50-60 range. And OF 1924 isn’t a bottle I’d pay over 65 for period. And I really like OF 1920 isn’t my favorite out of the series. As far as JD goes I’ll never see any of these either so don’t even look for them in fact we used to get their single barrel rye but now it doesn’t come around my area anymore? See it sitting on shelves all around my state but it here. Don’t understand how the distribution system works? Enjoy and have a great New Year 🥃🥃🥃
I agree with you RE: KLuke. I don’t get the hype. It’s decent but has a little of the barnyard note in mid palate. Drinks like a 55 dollhair bottle. I personally prefer Barrell batches for blended bourbon.
yeah brown foreman definitely went down in quality this year to previous couple. But not to say that it was poor. It's just that the previous iterations were so much better. I felt the same way with their batch 1 12 year vs batch 2.
Solid list, haven’t tried the Woodinville 8 or the 1924
Nice, honorable mentions. Looking forward to seeing the top 10 list.
You were right about the shelf available every day Golden Jack! I've never had one that I don't enjoy immensely! Great show as always! Cheers!

my local total wine just raised the price even more on the little book infinite. it was at 204.99 and now up to 279.99. just absurd pricing
Good list Judge
I can’t wait until the Top Ten !
Thnx Blake
Agreed on OF1924 Judge! Not to mention it losses on price too. Cheers 🥃

The only one of these I’ve tried is the Coy Hill. Great whiskey.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
