Excellent video! Just shot my worst and best o 2024 this past weekend. Baker's 7 HR made my list, too. I stayed away from Grain to glass b/c of all of the so-so reviews.
I just don't understand why people chase new expressions that are endorsed by celebrities. In addition, Maker's Mark is pumping out so many different bottles it's confusing. To many good bottles already exist on the shelves. Great review.
Nice video! I was not able to get the Cellar Aged this year. Passed on the Baker's. Traveler's is pedestrian. HH GTG is just ok. I needed the Parker's to have a better finish. Last year's rye was great!
Can't wait for the Middle West wheat bottle!! Agree about the Heaven Hill grain to glass bottles. Tried them at a bar, and was glad I did. Decent, inoffensive, but entirely unspectacular.
I love these kind of list ! lol I definitely agree with Bakers. It’s def not my jam. I was also disappointed when I heard Parker’s was using a single malt for their special release
Love the list Judge! For me I going to say the one that was the biggest disappointment was when I got my first bottle of Blantons. I wanted to like it, but it's just not my jam.
So disagree on the Parkers Heritage! Spectacular higher aged US malt. Semi related, the Wheater Grain to Glass is performing excellently in wheaters of 24 blinds
I have to try the Whiskey War stuff, picked up a HH grain to Glass bourbon haven't opened it yet, got it for $99 here in michigan, on the fence with the Bakers 7 high rye 🤔 CHEERS 🥃👍💯🎅
Jury is still out on the EH Taylor BP Rye, holding this one. Not sure if the bad reviews are from mostly non-rye guys or it's a potential for your next video of fails. Great list of your 5 disappointment whiskeys, spot on!
Am I allowed to ask if you can include my wife and I the next time you give C-bus a go? It would make both of our very old selves feel cool (hint, we are not cool but we are nailing old)! We normally have to visit our kids and grandkid in Maryland to hit whiskey cool!!! Enjoy what you are doing!!
The Parkers is actually a straight malt, not a single malt, and they have released one previously in the series. Definitely a different flavor profile than a standard bourbon, but this mashbill has grown on me. Same distillate that was used in the Rare Character Exceptional Series. 🥃🥃
Traveler’s is a $15 bottle

I agree that the HH GtG was not worth the $120 range - but it was an interesting experiment in a new mashbill from them.

The hammer nailed it -!
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts that often save me money
I don’t know if it came out in 2024 but I bought and tried it just a few months ago in 20024 and that is Knob Creek smoked bacon.

MM24 and PH are both great to me. Especially the PH. 🤷🏾♂️
Need more gavel bangs

Cellar Aged 2024 is a hitter! You night want to try that one again bro😂

OGD 16 was a disappointment for me, I wanted it until I saw price and lots of "meh" reviews
Have you tried it? I was skeptical also but glad I tried it because I thought it was delicious
“It’s open, it’s done” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 let’s go judge !!!
I don’t quite understand what people expect from Travelers. It’s shelf blend that’s only around 20 bucks…..try blinding it against Weller SR😉
I can get Weller SR cheaper than Traveller in my area, I want to try it but I’m not paying $50+ for it. The Weller SR goes for $30-$35
