The amount of effort you are putting in these videos, you definitely deserve more views and subscribers! I have moved to Italy recently and these kind of videos are extremely helpful. xx
i am in grade 9 and when i turn 18 i want to move to florence, Italy it has been my dream forever and your videos are making me excited even though its in four years :(
Don’t worry, it is so worth the wait!! You’ll be here before you know it 🤗 In the meantime enjoy the moment & do what you can to get ready for your life here (learning the language, cooking Italian food, understanding the culture & holidays we celebrate, etc) Sending you love from Liguria! ❤️
Amina Mariotti I’m going to be in 9th grade next year and the summer before college starts when I’m 18 I want to rent an apartment in Genoa for 2 months or so
I know this is a few years old but thank you! I've been a Digital Nomad for 6 years but looking to settle down for a year in Italy (I'm a Polish citizen). Although I've been using Airbnb for this whole time, it's a useful reminder that I can contact the host directly. I always forget this!
What a clued-up and savvy woman. Excellent. My only qualm with air bnb is that in some cities (ie Dublin) they are pushing up rental prices for local people and also spoiling the social harmony of some neighbourhoods.
Great. Will explore BNB extended stay. Recentpuly retired. Want to experience living around Europe, get the feel, we're if any would like to live. Rome, Athens, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, London. That's a lot That's the best, most history. Need to investigate residency requirement to stay. Extend over 3 month shengen max. Will go to Spain, italy, Greece consulates. Thanks a lot. Will explore you're channel.
Holy smokes that’s mega expensive! I’m in Montenegro and my Airbnb is only $700 per month ! No roommate required and it’s downtown and lovely 🥰. My goodness Italy is crazy pricey! Kind of staggering because I’m planning on going by sea to Italy shortly and that rental fee is a hefty burden on the budget! Yikes.
When you apply for your visa do you need to show that you have accommodation for the whole duration of classes? Or is the first Airbnb reservation for the first month good enough until I can settle in and know the area?
I am grateful my friend sent me your video. I’m concerned though as I’m going to a smaller town, I have a dog and I’m applying for dual citizenship… I can’t claim an abnb for my address? Can I ?
THANK YOU SO MUCH IT WAS SUPER HELPFUL!! I have a concern though because i am going Florence to study fashion design this October but since it's my freshman year i would love to surround myself with people that are also majoring in art and fashion related. But as far as I know there is only one(?) dorm that is not actually a dorm but a student hotel and it is very much pricey.. do you know any cheaper dorm or student hotels in Florence?
I’m not sure of anything that is made just for students but remember that you’ll meet a lot of people in your classes so even if you aren’t living in the same building you’ll still have plenty of opportunity to connect! 😊
Hi! I plan to study Italian this October! This video was so helpful! Since I need a letter of accommodation for my visa, do you think I will be able to book an apartment 4 months in advance? Thank you!!
You are amazing! I couldn’t believe how much easier this process is! Looking for apartments sounded like a daunting task but you have truly provided me with so much comfort. I appreciate this ☺️
@@RivieraDreamer hi again! Did you feel Airbnb was cheaper than going through an apartment through agency? Would you feel comfortable to provide the average of what you paid for each?
Thank you, Caroline! My daughter plans to do her BA at John Cabot University in Rome (Trastevere). The JCU residencies are terribly overpriced. But on the other hand, do you suppose it is wise to just rent a studio for an 18 y.o. in Rome, so that she is completely on her own?
Rome is a very safe city, there are many universities, rents are a bit high and are shared with other students. Overall is recommended since it is not a big city so moving around is pretty easy. Hope I helped, it's my hometown 🇮🇹
For fashion either start in a city in usa or go to university in Europe. It can be really tough to get a job in Europe if you’re not European especially if you don’t speak the language. You’ll be starting from the very bottom in an extremely high competition vocation. Take it slow and grow tough skin! You can also start building your own brand now via social media or websites and blogging. This will help build a reputation and portfolio that could separate you from competitors and act as a supplementary income if you monetize it.
do you have any experience using sites like uniplaces or spotahome? i'm finding it quite hard to find a flat in italy and they seem to be the main advertising places, but have some terrible reviews about scams
I unfortunately have never heard of those sites! I would say Airbnb, Booking & VRBO are the most reliable platforms for rentals but if you’re looking to live with roommates I’m not quite sure where to search 😕
I know this video is a few years old but I planned on moving to italy and staying for a few years probably 3-4 years. Should I still use Airbnb or do you know any places where I can rent an apartment?

Ahh how exciting!!! You're so welcome!
Jessica Guerra hey how can I do that? I want to do that for the summer after senior year.

If you rent an airbnb, can you use it to prove your residency (i.e. to get residency card / open a bank etc.)?
Great. Will explore BNB extended stay.

@@Ineverusemychannel thank you but I have decided to be a surgeon and move to Italy. I’m currently learning Italian still.
Any advice for that please?
I like your BS free style. You'd be surprised how fluffed & laborious people can be on this subject without getting to the point. Cheers 😀
Great tips! Thank you.
This is great advice thank you!!

Great video. Can you get a carta d’identità from an Airbnb?
How do you have a permanent stay? Because I’m moving to Italy in two years and looking for a permanent stay or at least a couple of years
I’m a dual citizen through my ancestry ☺️
Love the video!
Very helpful thank you
