Just picked up a 16D, had seen your video several years back, had let three 14D slip through my hands and finally bagged a 16D. I'm Deere guy for sure, but man, I love this little Ford (Shibaura). I think I have the only 16D video up currently on UA-cam, had to make one since there weren't any. There's another 14D in SC available, it's a little far to travel, but still considering.....I'm hooked. I love the Deere, but Deere didn't even have the foot pedal until the 90's
About 10 years ago I got a hold of 2 14D lawn tractors, one ran real good, but had no mower, and the other one I couldn’t get it to run, but it had a good mower deck. I had intended to take both and make one, but after a couple years, I kind of lost interest, an advertised them both on CL and sold them to a guy and his teenage son, for a father, son project.... if I remember correctly, I sold both for $1200.
What a deal $1000, I'd definitely pay that if I ever came across one. Someone has one just like it for sale in my area , and their asking a ridiculous amount of money for it.
I've had two lgt14d and my last had 4000 hours on it and my new one only has 550hr.. I would never sell mine. even a brand new New Holland today is junk in comparison for quality.
I have the GT75 which is the same tractor just different body panels. Mine also has the power steering which is great. Been thinking about selling it because I can't find ANY attachments for it and I would really like a snowblower or blade for it.

When you say "normal mower", what kind of mower are you talking about? Hardly any garden tractors are as fast as this one. He wasn't running it fast in the video. They run about 9mph, and have a 48' shaft driven deck with hydraulic lift. There was also a 16hp version with a slightly bigger 3cylinder Diesel. They had optional power steering, fuel guage, 3 point hitch, and rear PTO to run a tiller, and they also had a pretty big shaft driven snow blower as an option with hydraulic lift on the front. They weigh over 1000lbs without the deck or any weights, so these are not small machines. The version that came after this had an optional 60' deck! I've got one with the 16HP liquid cooled 3 cyl Diesel with power steering and the 60" deck, and it's the fastest mowing garden tractor I've ever used (I've owned lots of junk "normal" mowers). It can mow at full speed through some pretty thick stuff. It takes a decent size zero turn to out mow it, and most of those are terrible on hills. You can never have too much power. It's just amazing they were able to squeeze a liquid cooled 3 cylinder Diesel in these little tanks.

Just bought one in my area with 512 hours on it for 700. It’s in great shape also.

Also this is a garden tractor. It's not just about fast mowing. This was meant as a workhorse for small acreage places.
