Thanks for all the good content! Since you asked for comments, I'm not sure I totally agree with buying a boat you can grow into. I understand your logic and certainly it applies to someone who knows that they love the lifestyle. I would just add that if you're a novice or just starting out, I would go with something more manageable and potentially one you could safely dock on your own. I have a hunter 36 and its just a bit too big to feel safe docking solo but its still a comfortable size for so many things and not too many systems to break and repair. I've learned so much on this boat its amazing and still not overwhelming or expensive to maintain. Just my two cents. Again, thanks for the great content and videos!
You should likely do a companion series of videos... about how to pick winning lottery numbers, or the dos & don'ts for bank robbery... because I *need* one of these boats.
@@ChasingLatitudes See?, me too. The problem, of course, is that *one* kidney ain't gonna pay for the boat. So, we need a scheme for harvesting a number of kidneys from "volunteers." ;^)
Just watched your latest video and I enthusiastically love this sailboat!!!!! I got to spend a few days on the 46.1 back in December, what a thrill!! Sails like the wind handles beautifully and so easy to sail solo!! As you correctly stated there is so much spaced it’s not funny!!! I thought I would like at least a 50 footer but this boat just might save me a few bucks by getting the 46.1!!! This would make me a happy camper!! And I saw one in Europe for about $320,000!!! Most were between $320K to $600K plus, cheaper than an Oyster 575. Thanks Chris love your comments! Cheers!
I really like the swallow baycruiser 26 as an entry level sailboat , and for bigger boats the Sirius 35 and 40 DS are a serious comparison against the offerings from Beneteau, maby feature something smaller and less intimidating than a 40+ foot sailboat that costs half a mil.
Boats are a little like looking at homes and RVs. The bigger ones always seem to be so much nicer. And this boat is really nice. I'd probably opt for the standard version with the shoal keel because I don't need to go that fast and I would like a shallower draft. It's an amazing boat. Looking forward to the next model.
That's my boat....someday. I mentioned a while back about a video comparing this boat to the 473 and the 50. Would really love your expert breakdown on key differences between this size of vessel from 20 years ago vs today. Thanks for the great channel!!!
Hmmm, $300k used before refit is a little rich for my blood. I'm hoping to be all in (refit included) for between $125- $150k. Budget be damned- This is Alot 'o BOAT! Lots of cost for everything: dock/foot, hauling, anti-foul, rigging & lines. Ouch- just thinking about it hurts, Chris! I better stop before I hemorrhage cash! Yikes.
I would never suggest buying new, I'd always buy used, these can be had for around 300k, at that price you'd get a lagoon 40 ish around ten years old or so, I'd always take a mono over a catamaran due to running costs
Oh yeahhh thats what im talking about my dream boat! Wish she came with a swing keel to go reef dodging in to avoid the Chinese invasion fleet. Dont worry when WWIII kicks in these will drop in price, 1kg block of Silver will get you one at least I hope 😂
Wish problem. If I spend all my money on a boat, I won’t be making any money if I buy a boat that’s cheap. I can use the money. I’m making off my money to fix the boat.

Tell me about it, I'd give a kidney for one

You are killing me ! 😁❤️
Great video!!
Putting that in the maybe someday box.
What boat do you currently have?
Yeah, getting it narrowed down.
way too big. but i really like the idea of minimal slant life. are all the .1 models also minimal slant life boats?
Is a Code 0 usefull in the carribean?
I would say no
@ABC gang they are pretty useless
Excellent... we need Mr potato back
Am I crazy? I would actually consider selling everything (including my soul) to own this vessel and live the sailor paradise dream.
I would trade my right leg

Question.
..$500k is a huge amount...the same can buy a catamaran....
So would still buy this $500k Benetau?
If so....what are your points?

Doesn't appear to have a separate shower
