Great content! I have a quick question about ejecting a subscriber from a Journey. How can I use a custom opt-out checkbox from a custom preference center on the Lead object to eject the subscriber in the middle of the Journey?
Hi Robert, great video, thanks for share your knowledge! I follow the steps with a custom object, but when I create a new record, the Contacts Evaluated still in 0. I need to modify other setting? Thanks in advance!!
Custom objects can be tricky. Sadly I can't give much guidance as it would depend on how your custom object is configured. Have you tried with a standard object first before moving to custom objects?
This is great, your vids are always so helpful! - do you know if there are any watchouts when it comes to using person accounts and formula fields in entry criteria? :)
Both of these can be configured multiple way, so it will come down to how your Org is setup. If possible, create a test record in Salesforce to test your use case to ensure there are no problems.
Of course. Take a look from the 01:00 mark until 01:52, and notice how I choose the LeadID as the "person" I want to enter into the Journey. This value is used as the ContactKey.
amazing tutorial Cameron! However, I found that when using a Salesforce Data entry we can't create an exit criteria or goal for that lead. Example: When lead converts remove it from the Journey. Do you know how we could workaround this issue?
Thanks Miguel! You can still create an exit criteria using the Sync Data Extension! Make sure your LeadConverted field is coming through so you can select it in the Contact Data section of the goal criteria.
Hi Cam, when creating leads through the data import wizard, My contacts arent getting injected through the builder, any idea why? When I add the leads manually on the CRM the lead gets injected so not sure if theres an issue with the data import wizard
The record needs to be appended/modified in a certain way to be triggered into a Journey. It’s possible data loaded isn’t triggering that event (I haven’t tested this sorry). I would start your investigation there!
What happens if the lead updates I want to have decisions to exit the journey based on the status, but if the status changes does it update the data extension on the journey?
Been searching all morning how to do this and your video explained it so easily. Thanks a million! Saved me a lot of hours of trial and error.
definitely the best Marketing Cloud vids on the net. I watched and tried to follow many. but this hits the target. No seconds wasted.
Fantastic, Cameron. You're thorough and your videos are so instructive. Thanks
Very Informative Cam, Thank you...
This is EXACTLY what I needed. Thanks for the how-to!
Superb Cam. Loved the way you explain. I can understand every bit of it even without any prior experence of SFMC.
Great content as always. Clear and very useful.
Hi thank you for this video! Do you have a video on how to use ampscript in the email based on the data from the entry event?

Cameron i have a Question, in this video when you create your record on CRM will it get on SFMC Data Extension...or it send directly from CRM excess
SF CRM is connected with SFMC using MC connect
Great Content!, Is there any way to configure the Contactkey assignment? As far as I can see, SFMC will use the object ID as the contact key.

I worked on the standard object, if I take custom object the mails are going to owner Inbox is there any solution for this to send mails to customer?
Great, can you please make a video on Salesforce activities in journey builder?
I will do!

Yes this can be done using Contact Data in your Decision Split.
