I've been slandered, sold out, lost jobs and now worry and look after aging sick parents.
Lord God help me to know you are always with me, you have plans and will help me. I am no Joseph and I am genuinely scared.

This message is my story. I lost my professional identity in 2008. That was a decade ago but the pain is still very real.
Fantastic teaching and I apply it to my change in life and lack of some independence.

Keep praying and God will bring the opportunity to use that. Maybe someday you can help someone else who lost a loved one and is dealing with deep pain and their friends and family don't understand why they're still hurting years later. You know what that's like and you can be that compassionate person they need.
I'm so sorry for your pain. The Lord took my 2 little boys home early. I too am in deep sorrow and will never understand why.

I listened to this and took notes. Praise God for the life of Pastor Rick Warren. I experienced set backs many times from the people I loved, from my family and from people I gave much importance. Thank you for this sermon!😁 With setbacks right now from illness I'm needing to review and renew myself on the story of Joseph. The verse that says when Joseph talked to his brothers after he was promoted to work alongside pharoah "What you meant for harm, God meant it for good" helped me get through rape from a boyfriend. Helped me feel not completely broken and hopeless. With that verse and counseling I healed and later helped other women I've met in person and online who were raped and felt lost, scared, and alone and some felt they were going crazy from the thoughts and feelings they had. I first was a listening ear, then encouraged them and found resources in counseling or if they were still with the boyfriend also a women's shelter. From that experience, anything I go through I know I can apply it to help others.😁

#6 I really wish there would have been a stronger focus on wrongful accusations that ruin peoples lives than to quickly shift to taking Potiphar's wife's defense, or rather the defense of those like Potiphar's wife who make false accusations.
