Plane Talk With Pops is a keeper. Nice to know more about the Seneca and how it works. I’m not a pilot but I have a few friends who are and I’ve seen in other aviation videos pilots speak to the importance of establishing a stabilized approach before landing. I’ve also heard others talk about not getting behind the airplane. Clearly your backing Kay up in these early flights was and maybe still is essential to ensure unexpected events don’t put her behind the plane. Kay is a terrific pilot and even the best pilots can use a copilot at times. Good conversation.
Great video Pops! I'm the father of one child, my 34 year old daughter, so I get it completely. I would do anything for her and will until I die. There's nothing wrong with doing everything you can to keep her safe!
Thanks Pops for showing Kay’s new plane inside and out. You have a very smart and intelligent daughter in Kay. It’s plain to see that she is very serious and careful about her flying both Little Red and this Seneca Air Plane.
Thanks very much for your walkaround video. Didn't know the Seneca was boosted. I have always felt kind of uncomfortable with the light twins, especially when loaded near gross and with VFRs see and be seen aspect. Watching Kay's videos I have concluded that she is a very safe pilot and would be comfortable riding along with her. Like you, I have ridden with several pilots with whom I wound never get in their plane again.
Great job. Enjoyed the details about this new airplane, Mystik. I’d like to see more about how you determined where to mount the various cameras used in her videos and how they were mounted. Also what kind of cameras were used. You’re a very proud father as you should be. I’ve never flown a plane but was drawn to Kay’s videos by how seriously she controls the plane and still manages to make entertaining and informative videos. She always does a great job. Love your family.
Thanks for the walk around on the new airplane, very informative! Would like to see more of this type of video. As a Ham Radio operator, I would love to know more about the radio communication systems. All the best to you and the family!
Always like all the videos Pops, i am 72 and started children when i was 42, have 4, 3 boys and the Princess, oldest 30yrs old, youngest 22 my baby girl "The Princess" had her when i was 50. :) She has a lil girl Sage my Grand Daughter, 6th Generation Texan > any way i understand the protective dad, i am one :) I have told others, Kay is one of the very best safety oriented pilots i have seen. She understands how a simple mistake, could turn into a serious issue quick. Many get so familiar and chance short cuts and weather, and other issues, have not seen Kay do that. Happy flying, your probably right about the fuel slosh :) ty Pops from one Pops to another from SE Texas Orange.. Bear ❤💯🙏
Thanks for showing us around Pops. YOU 🫵🏼 rock sir. Love watching you and the fam flying around. Kay I love your solo flying don't get me wrong but you and Pop's are like Laurel and Hardy 😂. Your father needs his own channel or his own segment on yours. He's one cool cat...
This was great, to see just all the features and things going on with the plane beyond just flying it. I'd love to see pops fly once he gets certified for multi-engines. :) Don't listen to the haters, Pops is awesome. :)
A really cool video... learned a lot. Thank you for taking the time to go over the airplane in so much detail. Should make watching Kay's videos all the more enjoyable.
GREAT video. Keep doing these. In the fuel tanks... the lowest point is where the drains are where you check for water and contamination. So the fuel line can't be there, and the next place is higher. The unusable fuel is in the area in between those 2 spots, no other reason.
Pops, This is a great video, very interesting and easy to understand not to mention you have explained various things that I’ve heard Kay, and other pilots talk about . Thank you. Yes please I would love to see more like this. Rossco
So this morning I flew from French-Valley Airport (F70) to Hemet-Ryan Airport (KHMT) for breakfast. Well as I was taxing to the Hemet airport restaurant, guess who I see!! KAY!!! all the way out here in SoCal! I recognized her immediately. So I walked over to meet her 😃. She is super nice! I had her autograph my logbook and she gave me a Mystic sticker. 😃 What a fun and special morning. THANKS, KAY!!
A big thank you to Pops for making this video! So many of my questions about the aircraft have been answered. Very informative and very well done video. On a side note, I realky enjoy seeing Pops fly with Kay! You two make a wonderful team and I think its absolutely amazing that you do that together!! Thank you for continuing to make videos that are informative and fun to watch. Wishing you both all the best and enjoy the skies!
This was a great video and I will replay it again tonight. Very well done and I learned a lot of good information. Please do some more like this! Pops, you excelled in every minute !
Pops is EXCELLENT in this video. I’m impressed. Good job, Pops! 🤓 Sometimes Pops seems a little intimidated by Kay in videos with Kay. lol 😂 …but it’s all good… just an observation. It’s all good to see him “flying solo” in this video. LoL 😂 I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy it but I actually did. 😃 Loved the ℹ️ Thanks!!
Thanks. I enjoyed this video. It wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I for one would like a detailed tour of an engine bay one day you have the cowling off.
Hi Pops, it wonderful all you do for Kay. I under stand about all you have to do to learn a new plane. My Dad who is gone now, was a pilot for 50 years, trained in the RAF. Bombers, then Worked for De Havilands as a test pilot, planes right out of the factory. He when to flying corporate jets the De Havilands 125. Then selling them for the company in the USA. In 1966 he was hire to fly one for a company as Chef pilot. That's when we moved from England to the USA. The last company He flue for was Crown petrolium an flew between Baltimore and Texas. Flying was his life love along with my Mom
That is a brilliant and very informative video, Pops. Not only that, but your information is very clear as well. Thank you sincerely for posting it. I look forward to other videos made by you. Regarding Kay flying internationally to some extent, it would please a lot of people and it would be fantastic if one day she could fly to the UK. Living in Torquay, the nearest airfields to me are Exeter or Dunkeswell, but I am sure Kay would be made very welcome in all areas of the UK.
Thanks Pops. As an engineer that worked with aircraft in my career, this kind of information is really awesome to get. I know a lot about the various military aircraft I worked with, but learning about civil aircraft is nice.
You do do a good job. You know everything about that plane. And she had she you're you're he? Your daughter has good hands when a father is knows what he's talking about. It knows it's all about the plane and you feel better that she's flying safely. And you don't have to worry about her or your wife has to worry about her flying. You, you, you? You're doing a good job? You're a good father😊
LOVE LOVE LOVE the walkaround! I asked Kay earlier & she replied regarding 3 green AND... "one in the mirror." Thanks for showing that in detail in this video! Earlier today, I was tracking Kay on the awesome app FLIGHT RADAR 24 as she left Roswell, NM, and landed in Scottsdale, AZ. ❤
For me as a engineer in research & development are this kind of videos really interesting. They are some sort of practical education / practical feedback to me. Many thanks for good explanations. Thumbs up.
WTG Pops, Always a pleasure watching You and Kay flying. When You had lil Red I always kept a lookout for you all flying Lil Red from my Patio and Pool in Mission Bend! Happy Flying and Blue side up always!
Awesome video Pops! The support you provide Kay in her efforts is special. Knowing a bit about flying, I really appreciate the detailed info and the tour of Mystic 😎 Anyone I know that has an interest in flying GA, I always recommend Kay as an example of a great pilot! I know you're a supporting piece of her skills and attitude towards flight and safety. Keep up your great work also! ✈️
Great point about the oil levels. My plane has a Lycombing O - 235 engine with a capacity of 6 quarts of oil. After an oil change I wait until it burns off slightly less than 1 quart that brings the level to about 5 plus a little.. So when I am at a bit more than 5 quarts of oil and the add a 1/2 quart that brings the oil level to 5 1/2 quarts . Then I keep doing the same as to where I fly with around 5 to 5.5 quarts. Anything above 5 1/2 quarts seems to get burned off ! As always I have extra oil with me and check it at every stop and reset it if necessary . Nice job there Pops ! Let's see more of you again !
Loved this video. It was good to get an up close look at Mystic. I do love Kay's video also, but this gives a different perspective. Please keep them coming.
Thanks for this, great video. I'm not an aviator but find it a fascinating subject. Kay's meticulous attention to detail is noteworthy, and as in any risky occupation, it is this attention that makes it safe. Please continue with the checklists, it is always informative and a constant reminder of how to fly safely.
Thanks Pops. I really enjoyed this video and your explanations of the technical aspects of the aircraft. I always wondered where the mirror was as well. Your mentoring of Kay is first class (yeah me and all the other fathers watching know the multitude of feelings you must have about Kay's flying. Pride sure, concern for safety always but most of all fatherly love) I look forward to more videos.
Love the video and the fun you express. I also appreciate and know how hard it is to refrain sometimes because your daughters well being is of the highest priority. Looking forward to more videos whoever they may have in them. 🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩
Great job Pops, very informative

Thank you for the walk around.. I am flying vicariously through you folks.
Thanks Pops for showing Kay’s new plane inside and out. You have a very smart and intelligent daughter in Kay. It’s plain to see that she is very serious and careful about her flying both Little Red and this Seneca Air Plane.
Fuel min reserve - designed to keep the fuel flowing in the case of maximum angle of attack. Worst case is a go-around, climbing out with low fuel.
Thanks very much for your walkaround video. Didn't know the Seneca was boosted. Enjoyed the dialogue with dad. As someone interested in aviation, your video gave us a “look behind the curtains”.

Kay was an absolute gangster when that door popped and she didn’t panic.
Thanks so much Pops! We all love Kay and you and Moms. Keep 'em flying
Fantastic yes more videos like this please pops and yes no compromise needed if its not safe for kay to fly what ever to video's 👍👍❤

Cheers from Australia

Loved the video. Good job Pops.
I would laminate those power tables. Sweat, rain, etc. will render those pages unusable.
Loved the walk through.
Great video! Loved it. Keep 'em coming.
It was a great video! Very well presented also!!
Great walk around, Pops. What a nice aircraft. I do agree the fuel mins have to be because of the planes' attitude in relation to the fuel pickup.
Oh pops your correct. I love it more Pops
Glad to see y9u 5oo
Dee
Nice work Pops, enjoyed the video.
Thanks for the detailed discussion.
Great job pops, dropping some informative content.

Kay was so calm and collected when the door latch popped!
I would say she was rather a little bit pissed than worried... 😅
Thanks Pops. As an engineer that worked with aircraft in my career, this kind of information is really awesome to get. I know a lot about the various military aircraft I worked with, but learning about civil aircraft is nice.
I enjoy all the videos. I’m not a pilot. But it’s very interesting to watch Kay fly.
