I know you enjoy your sander and thank you GREATLY for making this video. However, you did prove to me that I would rather spend some extra $ for a different one. This one (as of this comment) is $89.99 @Harbor Freight. To me it's worth an extra $100 to have velcro discs and the ability to change out belts without needing tools to break the machine down. Again, thanks for taking the time to make this video! It's more helpful than you might know!

@Happy Home Crafts - Quick tip, when you're sanding on the side disc, release the tension arm on the main belt to improve the discs speed and RPM recovery, it also reduces noise and additional wear on the main drive belt and motor bearings over time. Mine's still going strong after forty plus years and no servicing, apart from an occasional splash of oil. Thanks for sharing. 👍

A million thanks for the parts on changing the disk and belt!!! I inherited this machine from my brother. Unfortunately the manual is not very good when it comes to learning how to change the belt!!! Thanks again!!!

A small squeeze bottle with some acetone will help get the disc off. Peel a small piece then drip the acetone behind it. Viola.

I have had this sander for many years and rely upon it regularly. It is a little workhorse. However, where I cannot trust it is in getting a true 45 degree angle when using the disc sander. The platform wobbles and will not maintain stability even under minimal pressure. Love, love, love the sander but precision will continue to be an issue unless someone can tell me how to firm up the disc sander table. Super video!!!

Omg !!!! That was insane and what a hassle! Who would want to go through this much stuff but I have this same sander and am ready to change the disc and belt for the first time and if I have to go through all this it will go straight into the garbage bin

Thanks for this video. Like others it reassured me to go with another brand that is much easier to change sanding belts. This one takes far too long to change

Your sandpaper is just clogged and doesn't need to be replaced. Go to harbor freight and search for sanding belt cleaner. It will increase the life of your sandpaper immensely.

To remove the belt the process is very simple. Remove the 14mm bolt that holds the sanding "stop", Then release the belt main tensioner. Carefully lift the back gaurd up and remove the belt. You did several steps that are NOT needed.

I used 99%alcohol to release the tension of the glue and the discs peeled right off
