I got the same bike last year and love it. It’s not perfect but I knew what I was getting so all is good. I love being able to cruise local dirt roads or ride it to the trails. Keep the videos coming.
Before I had a licence, many many years ago lol, my first bike was a Kawasaki 125 KMX. I didn't know anything else, no other friends had bikes. I would just ride for hours, go anywhere. I would show up to school with clothes that stink two stroke oil. Today I have had a lot of different bikes, from simple to expensive and even exclusive with race bikes with just a licence plate. And yet I miss those simple days. That bike really reminds me of that.
Great video! I am a new rider and this is the bike I bought. Not scary at all unless I get on the freeway. Good to see it's capable and I will get there but in no hurry to go 80 just yet 😄. Dealers where sold out everywhere in Oregon so I am glad I tracked one down. Awesome bike so far and each ride takes me some place new. Happy riding out there!
Nice! Dual Sport's have come a long way. So much fun! Affordable fun. There are many mountain bikes that cost as much much if not more! Thanks for sharing. I enjoy content like this. Skills with Phil shares snowboarding trips with his wife Hailey during winter. Why not! Enjoy time wth your family! I went from motorcycles to mountain bikes. Love both.
I absolutely love my 2020. It’s my first bike and I plan on keeping it forever. Already put 1650 miles on in the few months I could before winter hit. It’s just about full time riding season again!
Cool seeing a motovlog. I bought my Ca Plated wr450 in Paso Robles last year. but only rode a few times so its listed for sale at the moment. Dualsports are so fun though.
I have a 250L as my first street-legal bike and I have all the same sentiments and complaints as you. Summed up nicely! Not a sport bike, not a moto-cross bike, but a damn good for beer runs and trails.
Thanks for the review bro. I just bought a 2015 and will take delivery in a week. This vid got me more excited than a kid on Christmas. What gloves and jacket are you sporting in the vid?
I live in Southern Utah and I pretty much told myself I am not gonna use the freeway ever with that being said we have a lot of great side roads and scenic byways to get to places like Lake Mead in Nevada or some awesome ghost towns in the tri-state area. Gotta love that BLM land! Basically this just in my bike to go out in the middle of the desert go camping... of course not straying too far from fueling stations.
All these people talk so much like the 300 (286cc) is the best bike in the world & forgets about how good the 250cc has been all these years I have the 2018 250L rally n' absolutely love it I don't even consider trading it for the 300. Is the 300 cool Yes I absolutely dig it but the 250's been around a long time it's proven itself imo. Perfect bike? no but for me perfect absolutely yes 👍👍💯% Hope you still enjoy your bike!
Totally agree man, definitely not worth the upgrade if you already have the 250, my Yamaha r7 has taken the thunder away for a while but now that it’s summer again I’ll probly be back out riding it a lot more again
i bough one 12 months ago, very happy with my decision. I keep the others for hard enduro for the week end or rally . The honda live up to it s fun factor. Start everytime and feeling great to ride it. Ok it s not a H or KTM, but sometimes compromise make you back up just a little bit and enjoy the scenery, 24 000kms in one year , i don t see time soon to change it despite it s low power, soft and bouncy shock and, the pegs position . i can live with that. Great little bike for many things, if the bike is fitted with good off road tyres, it will go there ,
@@ScoutsOut depending on your local area, where i live a Pirelli MT21 at the right tyre pressure is more than fine for many paths and week end adventure and road back . For the commuting ( only in winter) I use road tyres for better rolling, the handling , braking and wobbling of the bike is much improved , specially in wet suface .
Great Video - I like the highway clip you were running 80, other videos make it seem like its nearly impossible to hit 80..Picking mine up Wednesday! WOOOOOOO!
Was thinking of this bike. Would be my first bike basically for in town in town driving or to drive to work which is about 30 min again highway is about 80km an hour Thoughts?
That’s a hard one and would depend on your experience and comfort on a tall bike. It’s actually lower than a normal 250 dirt bike but still kinda high. I will say my son can ride it ok but can only get one foot on the ground and he is 5’5”, hope this helps let me know what bike you chose
@@ScoutsOut I get nervous when I cannot touch the ground because I totalled my bike back in 05...have bad legs, so lifting something too tall and getting back on would be a bear on a mountain side for me. I'm 5'6"....hmmm, maybe too tall for me. LOL! I'm looking for a shorter bike but unsure which route to go.
@@LadyBrug I also have a ninja 400 and it’s really short and a good beginner bike with enough power to not feel like you will need more in 6 months. Might be something to look into
Every video I've seen memtions Honda is super cheap. Well, from perspective of Eastern Europe it is not cheap at all, I can get used XT660 for the price of used CRF. But I choose CRF because of how fine it sits in the middle of dual sport. Heavy for serious off road and underpowered for streets you might say. I say lightest street legal bike with decent pull to 60mph. Meaning I can take it a fuel tank away, drive trails and go back home the same day. Without trailer/truck and being able to pick it up without help. That is where the value of the bike is imho - possibilities for lone adventure.
Well said it’s a great all around bike, it’s cheap to buy bike in America because we for some reason don’t like small cc bikes so we don’t get all the cool options that euro does.
great video sir, I have the same bike and just love riding every weekend if your looking for bike parts for the Honda and other bikes try Aliexpress.com, and it's a trusted site i buy a lot of stuff for myself and friends ( so much cheaper than going to a bike shop ). get a LED headlight bulb it's so much better if you need to ride at night.

Best review I’ve seen on this bike!!
From South Africa
Thank you, much appreciated
Everything has it positives and negatives. It’s a great dual sport bike and it does what it was designed to do.

I’m thinking about buying one to ride to work, about 10 miles 1 way.
That would be 👌🏼 my commute is mainly freeway and about 25 ish miles, it seems just a little to long for a daily on the bike but still ok

It’s a little tall, is your shorter it will take a little getting used to. 30min drive would get old imo but not to bad especially at slower speeds
Yeah prob wouldn’t drive it to work everyday. I’m 6 foot just wondering if you think it would be okay for a beginner bike
Then yes I think it would be a great beginner for ya
Awesome. Thanks man Appericate your feedback
Still newbie so have no problem being in a parking for for a few days lol
good review !
Thanks 🤙🏼 cheers!!
Now a days a bike like this comes in handy we had 6 bucks a gallon then 5 if gas goes to 7 bucks a gallon then ya 250
Haha so true!
I weigh 230 and I am 6’5”. Would this bike be big enough to do some easy trail riding and road riding?
I think so, you might want to buy a bigger seat to gain a little extra leg room but the bike would still be capable in my opinion
