After everything that's happened to Jamie in the 20 years after he sent Claire back, seeing Claire when he least expected it was the "straw that broke the camel's back". I guess anyone would have been overwhelmed ;-)

@@elizabethpitt7258 this is scripted haha 😅. Looks cheesy, but in the books Jamie hallucinated Claire many times, when they did meet he managed to keep his control for a while. But then Claire touched his broken nose (yes, it's croocked in the books) and that's when he fainted. Made much more sense hehe😅👍

I love the humor in Outlander. It's not a comedy serie, but probably one of the few series that can really bring out a real laugh because it's so understated. Also some of the scenes in France was bringing a
crying laugh.

This reminded me of Jane Eyre going back to see Rochester after he had lost all hope. Had me in tears both times!
When i came across this series, i only intended for it to make me fall asleep. Never knew about nor watched any clips of it before. Ended up staying all night. Man this series is sooo goood.
I remember right before I watched this scene for the first time I thought "how are they going to make a proper reaction to them seeing eachother again after all this time?" I'm so happy with how it played out, it felt really believeable, neither overwhelming or underwhelming and in character for both of them. Emotional joy because they are finally back with the love of their lives, but not a kiss because that would take away the fact that they are now strangers in a way. Their time apart was way longer than their time together. I honestly can't think of a better way this scene could have played out!

Every now and then a movie/series comes along that touches me, makes me cry with joy or sadness. This is one of them.
loved this scene, I was holding my breath with Claire and when I heard his voice I had the same reaction she did. Amazing scene, and I loved that they kept it as similar as in the books

I have re-visited this scene many, many times, and I am still filled with admiration and wonder at their acting skills, they are second to none, their faces tel their amazing story almost without words, I don’t think Actor’s of this Quality come around very often, but when they do, Oh! My the impact is tremendous, I have viewed and re-viewed “Outlander” for over five seasons, and never tire of it, never will, Diana has left us with an amazing Legacy, if I am still around at the finish that would be truly awesome, Cheers 🥂
I loved and lost a girl 23 years ago and have thought of her every day since we parted. If she were to enter my life again after all these years, the surprise and sheer joy of seeing her again would most likely have me like Jaime. Out cold...

I remember seeing this scene and my heart was pounding so heavily, and the way Cat shows the emmotions of Claire and Sam shows a natural reaction like Jamie saw a "ghost". I'm still waiting for the subtitles for season 5. But this series is deff one of my favorites.

They stated that in this episode after, when he told her that he is a different man right now and he insisted why she came back to him and she knew he might be different or had a life while she is away but their love is greater than time obviously in all meaning
