Great video. Just a friendly tip, try to write some sort of a script, this way the talking goes smoother with less “uh”’s and the video will have a more professional feel. Anyway thanks for your time to make this video
@@buyvcbum I know, I do like the series, but with a little preparation it is easier to follow the video if you have some sort of guideline of what you will be talking about.
Thanks for watching and the feedback. I like doing it unscripted as my I’m afraid if I did it otherwise I’d lose my connection with the audience and I enjoy just being myself with you all. However, I do recognize that the quality can improve and part of that is the presentation. I may experiment with a scripted video in the future and see how it is received. Either way I value everyone’s feedback as I learn this beast called UA-cam lol
@@dividend100k5 maybe you shouldn’t have a script if that’s not your thing. However preparing a little bit may help making the video more smooth. You’re welcome for the feedback
Hello there, SCHD is my core holding that the majority of my contributions will go to. I like that it’s a high quality dividend ETF that’s passively managed so I don’t really have to keep up with it, except when it goes through its rebalancing and reconstitutions. Regarding individual stock picks, I’m long big tech such as Microsoft and Apple. Costco I’ll continue to hold as well for the next few years as long as things continue business as usual. To be honest every company I hold I am confident in long term holding 2-5 years or beyond. The exception is my REITs and Coke/Pepsi. If the interest rate environment doesn’t alter REITs performance for the better I’ll have to rethink those holdings. For Coke and Pepsi, the dividend is good but the growth hasn’t been where I’d like it to be - especially Pepsi. All that said, I understand my portfolio is tiny compared to others out there but I’m trying to treat it as I would if it were beyond the 100k mark. Anyway, hope that answers your question and thanks for watching!
It’s a tough call. The growth hasn’t been there and I’ve lost money. Looking back over 2 years Pepsi has returned negative gains to investors. For my portfolio I want companies that grow and pay dividends. Pepsi has only delivered on one of those.
Well done mate, im 1 yr 9 months into my investment journey. Your channel look really good too.
Thanks brother and same to you. I subscribed to your channel and will follow your journey as well!
