The stakes are high, and it's not only about the money! Money vise we are talking about doubble, winner takes home 10k USD, 2nd place gets half of that.
Since it's a grand final, to make it as fair as possible PAX Arena choose to make it a BO5, meaning 3 map wins needed to take home this final series for the valorant ignition series trophy!
Cloud9 are definately the favorites of this grand-final, at least most of the crowd were expectig them to win. But there were many voices supporting Sentinels as well, and praising their teamwork, aside their mechnical skills!

@Tactical Elite In Valorant its Attackers vs Defenders, in CS:GO it's Terrorists vs Counter-Terrorists (T's vs CT's).
Valorant is supposed to be more accessible to the general public so they don't want to do anything that scares away sponsors, so having casters calling the sides Terrorists is against that philosophy so they are trying no to do that.
The announcers even called the Operator as AWP

This was actually better than expected. The Sentineels did a great job her from taking a site, post plants, and retakes in defender sides. Valorant tournaments are actually growing. I wonder what are the next tournaments.

The decision to play viper seems to have some actual merit but they need to work on it to make it anywhere viable.

@@TheTrealistInMemphis I know sinatraa personally and he was a high rank in csgo and did play esea but only casually (he's competitive in everything even when playing casually) he never wanted to go pro in csgo but just loved the competitive side of it. He mainly focused his efforts on other games but I think it's really cool he switched up and is pro in valorant now. His aiming skills really show.

I know rhat would make more work for you, but sometimes, if you just skip to the next play in the same round, i often thought that it's the next round. Honestly both teams played super good but TenZ had probability the worst luck ever in this final. And congrats on them for that viper A split ult. That actually has great potential if executed correctly. Overall this is just the beginning of the competitive scene in valorant and there is so much more to come and there is so much room to grow and evolve for everyone. I really liked seeing the Tenz Jett as well as the C9 viper pick. Jett put in a ton of work on ascent, and I think the viper could also work given more team strategy around it.
Mitch played so well on 3rd game.
The end of the first match was hard to watch because Cloud 9 was relying on Tenz every round to get kills but as soon as Tenz needed help nobody was around to trade.

I found its Goldenboy and Gaskin. Goldenboy's shoutcasting got me.

TenZ has to soft carry them and once he gets against a good team that plays as a team I think that cloud9 falls apart

Here's the big difference that won the game for sentinels :
C9 Plays like a Pug team Running out with flashes and hopes for their aim andd timing to win it
Sentinels played planned and focused, using positional and utility while also relying on their players to clutch making a complete team play (last map was more puggy)

C9 lost so many rounds where they have over 3 man advantage. Like the last round on split. The guy on heaven diedand raze was looking towards heaven when he was in site

It’s a paradox; you can say “only bronze players would play x position, y is clearly the better position” but still no one checks them because of that thought process
