There was a chalkboard at the pilot "lounge" at 0S7. I took a picture of it less than a week after you were there and didn't see a note from you on it! (unless you wrote "many happy doggies!!" or "thank you for being here" without a name)
I actually love that you see the low wing in your videos. It adds character and a real aviator perspective that you don't get with the high wing.... I haven't heard the verdict yet, but I typed this while watching your video. I hope you went with the TSi!
So happy for you two. Glad you went with the TSI. Now… tell us what options if any you have on the panel, a/c, color scheme, will you try to integrate the oxygen… etc. I’m excited as well as I’m sure both of you are.
This was one of my most anticipated videos ever and it didn’t disappoint. What a beautiful adventure! The TSI seems like a great choice. On to the build!
And I was so sure, that you will eventually be building a high wing. But then, what you have said in the end of the video, makes perfect sense, so I am (as many others) looking forward your build series and mainly all the happines, that will be brought by your new airplane. Thanks for video.
Thats a sexy AF plane. I fly in a friend's RV occasionally, and on a long trip i think that HUGE center console and the stick would be rather constricting. On long trips in my Piper, and especially if im solo, i like to swing my legs over to the pax side. Being able to change leg position frequently is really nice!
Congrats! You two, the channel, the superb videos and killer aerial shots are awesome! Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing you in your new TSI!
Hey Josh, have you in the past or do plan to make a video about flying into Canada and back into the U.S.? Specifically around what paperwork to file, what to expect and anything that went easy or difficult for you? I fly out of Ohio and have been to all the surrounding states, but never flew into Canada yet, even though it wouldn't be far from here. My significant other and I both have our passports already too.
@Aviation101 I look forward to new adventures with your new plane this year. Your stories and your love for aviation keeps me going, and I want to thank you both for allowing us viewers into your aviation journey.
Beautiful Vids ...your production is Tops. And Congrats on the TSI. Looking forward to the continuing saga of Aviation 101 or is it now Aviation 202. ?
Congratulations! Greetings from SC. So happy for Y'all, that yer able to manage all three. Wishing you both every sucess in your new plane venture. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing. 🤎🇺🇲 👋😎
That was some seriously magnetic viewing! 😮 Thank you so much!!! (again). The camera work was magnificent! _So_ enjoyable! 😊 Do I sense a TSi in the future? 🤔
Congratulations! I felt that when Chelsea fell in love with the TSI that you were going to acquire the TSI. You made the choice and it is great for you. I think you will enjoy the bird!
I think you are making a mistake! With all of the traveling you are doing plus all of the photography. I think the High wing would better suited for you. Yes, the low wing is faster, But you are giving up space and having the low wing in the way while trying to photograph an image.
We made the decision we felt was the best fit. It’s about a lot more than content, too. And no, there was no “cutting” involved. We placed the order many months in advance and were added to the end of the schedule like everyone else. Bear in mind that this footage is almost 6 months old.
One of your most epic productions. Incredible.
Congrats, you two! Can’t wait to see the finished airplane.
Formation in the homebuilts?
@@Aviation101definitely. I won’t be able to keep up though 😂
Great storytelling! I (nearly) teared up at "Josh, you wanna switch planes?" "Absolutely not." Chelsea's joyous reaction was priceless. Have fun kids!
Yes!!!! TSI!!!!! So happy for you guys! That's my favourite one too. Can't wait to watch the content of you guys building it. Love it

Glad you enjoyed your trip to B.C, Can't wait to see the build.... Congrat's
I was thinking one of each
This is the only correct answer.
Congratulations from Minnesota!! I'm so excited for you guys!!!
Good choice. Can't wait to follow the build.
Amazing views. You can't go wrong with either Sling. Good luck with the build.
Used to live in Tonasket, literally a town just 16 miles south! Beautiful dry mountain scenery!
So happy for you two. Glad you went with the TSI. Now… tell us what options if any you have on the panel, a/c, color scheme, will you try to integrate the oxygen… etc. I’m excited as well as I’m sure both of you are.
So happy for the two of you. Looking forward to the build.
Great decision !!! I would have chosen the TSI as well !!!! Have fun building it and flying it !!!
This was one of my most anticipated videos ever and it didn’t disappoint. What a beautiful adventure! The TSI seems like a great choice. On to the build!
Wowza, what Stunning views of Half Dome and El Cap!
Great choice! Looking forward to the build content!
I can't wait to watch a new aviation 101 plane! Glad y'all are keeping the old gals!
Absolutely! Staying true to our Cessnas while marshaling in a new age.
Have fun building the new TSI and stop by Bowmen when you are done with the build
Tuff choice, but either one works just fine. Great show you two!
Good choice for both of you!!
Congrats, I'll be following the journey.
Welcome to the Tsi family. Mine goes in for paint in a few weeks... :)

Congrats, and great videos and content as usual. I wish you and your bride to be the best.
Always a great day when new Aviation101 content drops! Congrats Josh and Chelsea on the TSi. Looking forward to seeing it come to life.
Congrats guys! Looking forward to watching the build process and of course the first flight.
When Josh first mentions Dorothy Scott...I swear he says "Dorky Scott". I mean you tell me... 2:24. 3:02 as well. :)
Sorry Dorothy Scott... you will forever now be "Dorky Scott" to me. It now on my must fly-to list.
Sweet sling more 💰
Great video Josh. Happy late birthday as well, awesome to know we share a birthday!
I think the BC trip films are the best you've produced - what a journey...
Congratulations! I knew it would be low wing once Chels wanted it. 😊 Great video and best of luck on the build.
Great choice….congrats on your decision 👍👍
Congrats! You two, the channel, the superb videos and killer aerial shots are awesome! Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing you in your new TSI!
We’re stoked to build it and film many trips in it! Thanks for the support 🤙🏼
Great choice. Congratulations!
I was hoping you'll choose the high wing. But I can't wait for the build videos. Looking forward to 2hr movies next year. Lol
Congrats! I’ve had my eye on the Tsi now for awhile, but not in a position to buy just yet
Woo hoo! Can't wait for the next one!!!!!!
Heck yeah 🙌🏼
Congratulations. Great planes
Fun to see clear skies above the smoke. I didn't see much of that when I was below it for weeks.
It’s refreshing for sure 😶🌫️
I’m curious how you liked the Washington flying? From the area and I absolutely love it
Congrats! Good call.

Had a feeling when she adored the TSI that you guys would end up going with that one. Happy wife happy life, and all that 😂
And Great video by the way
Congratulations to you both !
Thanks so much for the support!
@Aviation101 I look forward to new adventures with your new plane this year.
Your stories and your love for aviation keeps me going, and I want to thank you both for allowing us viewers into your aviation journey.
Dang, have fun climbing in and out of that thing and sliding off the wing into that step shin first (ouch)
We don’t mind it one bit!
Big whoop.
Beautiful Vids ...your production is Tops. And Congrats on the TSI. Looking forward to the continuing saga of Aviation 101 or is it now Aviation 202. ?
102 🤣 thanks so much for the support!
That South African guy needs his own show! He’s hilarious! He’s like the Vince Vaughn of Joburg…
Can't wait to see which one you pick. Watching now, just started. =]
I was hoping for the low wing..
Those geiger counters always make me laugh
Congratulations! Greetings from SC. So happy for Y'all, that yer able to manage all three. Wishing you both every sucess in your new plane venture. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.
🤎🇺🇲 👋😎
So happy for you two. Can’t wait to see the build process until finished and maybe one day in person at Sun N Fun 😉😉
Heck yeah!!
Thankyou so much for this amazing series of videos, I have enjoyed them immensely, what an incredible experience, thanks for letting me tag along 😊
That was some seriously magnetic viewing! 😮 Thank you so much!!! (again). The camera work was magnificent! _So_ enjoyable! 😊 Do I sense a TSi in the future? 🤔
Exciting news.
I’m guessing low wing.
Wow!
Give us any hints about the paint job?! :)
Question: Does @highmaintenance_chels get a sore neck from her signature "turn around and smile" move, which she is so good at?
So far so good 😂
Are you going to get help building or do it all yourself
That was most definitely Half Dome.
Had to check the map 😂
How were you able to get the plane and motor so quick? Don’t expect a response….
By placing the order many months ago.
I'm quite sure you guys slung the idea around a bit before making a decision.
Half Dome: You’re in good company with Ansel Adams.

Congratulations! I felt that when Chelsea fell in love with the TSI that you were going to acquire the TSI. You made the choice and it is great for you. I think you will enjoy the bird!
Nah, bummer... HW anytime.
TSI are a bit boring
We have absolutely zero regrets in our decision!
I think you are making a mistake! With all of the traveling you are doing plus all of the photography. I think the High wing would better suited for you. Yes, the low wing is faster, But you are giving up space and having the low wing in the way while trying to photograph an image.
You made the right choice. As a TSi owner I might be biased, but I do think TSi > HW! 😁
We’re ready to change it up! Looking forward to joining the Sling fam. 🤙🏼
Congratulations!! I love my TSi. You will not be disappointed.
So far I’m blown away by its handling. We’re excited to fly our own!
@@Aviation101 I saw you landed at my home airport, Medford Oregon on your Canada trip. Can't wait to follow your build experience.
Congrats the TSI is going to be a great fit and something different!
Super stoked to share the journey here!
Too bad. There’s already tons of TSI content. Newer, more-in-demand HW would have been the better choice for UA-cam content.
I suspect this came down to some kind of ‘cutting the line’ when ordering, doing that with the hw would raise more eyebrows
It's not so much the hardware, but rather the Content Creator. The way Josh does videos is why we keep coming back to his channel for more.
We made the decision we felt was the best fit. It’s about a lot more than content, too.
And no, there was no “cutting” involved. We placed the order many months in advance and were added to the end of the schedule like everyone else. Bear in mind that this footage is almost 6 months old.
Yes, let’s tell them what is best for their lives, day to day use, and UA-cam channel. I’m sure they never considered that…
@ I meant if you were ordering the HW then and you got it now you would have had to cut the line, not that you did for tsi.
when your in LA building and want to go flying? I have a lil Cherokee at Brackett. Kpoc and would love to go flying with you..
