The show sent stuttering John to interview the people waiting to see the “miracle”. Hilarity ensued when Howard and Gilbert riffed on the lack of bathroom facilities for the crowds.
These old clips highlight 2 things for me, the show declined significantly after Billy and Jackie left and Howard isn't naturally funny. I'll give Howard credit for his success, but on a personal level he's an insecure bore.
It's more like he just enjoyed people being angry at the language and thought it was hilarious. He enjoyed getting people to laugh at dead babies or diddlers, but then when people got offended at racist language or jokes, he showed their hypocrisy.
