Yeah dude, I love it but I hate it. It's great but it sucks too...ya know? It's like I have something to say but I don't have anything to say. You get it...
Ysmigra Arzygler Yes, but I just listed to Gilbert tell that bit to Steve Buscemi, and Gilbert used the weaker Punch Line: “I think” The best PL is, “But don’t take MY word for it.”
Seemed uncomfortable through most of it and that was what made it much more fun to listen to. Oftentimes when Gilbert gets turned around in a conversation he goes to an insult then laughs that maniacal crazed sounding laughter of his(that is another thing I enjoy immensely about Gil) and it sort of resets and ushers in a start of whatever the next thing someone says after that. Lots of people would disagree with me, probably especially Steve and Gilbert and Frank but for me this was probably my favorite interview of amazing colossal podcast! Still have more to listen to though. Steve I think is a humble and nice person and I've seen many movies he's in and liked them all. Couldn't make the time work to go to a standup show Gil did at Pheasant Run in St. Charles a long time ago... still looking to make a running kick straight into god's balls about that.
Great applause to Steven keeping his cool. But I was surprised Steven didn't smack Gilbert in the mouth or just walk off the show. Very disrespectful behavior by Gilbert.Very unprofessional, not prepared to do the interview at all. This isn't funny. If you are not prepared - keep your mouth shut, Gilbert.
Gilbert sounds like he is in early stages of dimentia. His unmerited laughter in every odd moments that wasn't funny is so obnoxiously uncomfortable. His "cohost" is a much better interviewer. His gentle management and ability to bend things back to a somewhat coherent interview is admirable. His knowledge of the guest and any related stories is fantastic. He could actually carry the show. Gilbert is like the joker without the homicidal maniac tendencies.
You do realize most comedians are not all there in the head to begin with right lol? They're funny on stage for 10-15 minutes, but you don't want to spend an entire day or God forbid a month on set with them. And it was actually a funny joke because the punchline of Danny & Lawrence built up throughout the interview but still too crude for my liking. RIP Gilbert.
Gilbert is out of his mind in the best way. Hysterical!
Grew up in Valley Stream as did steve. He was a good amount older.I knew of his brother who was an unbelievably nice guy.
I keep coming back to this for Gilbert’s hilarious quasi trainwreck interview style
I love this interview. It's not the greatest interview but its entertaining and Gilbert is at his uncomfortable best

You get it...

Steve and Gilbert together are amazing. Gilbert connected with everyone and he is missed dearly.
I miss Gilbert.
Thank you for uploading these. They are wonderful.
I listen this in my car while driving, its awesome
This is the funniest thing I read today.
Hey me to. Each podcast is about that same length as my drive to work so it's perfect
I listen to it everywhere...even when I'm dropping the kids off at the pool. :)
@@carrrexx7190 why?
@@shay5311I think "while driving" is what he found funny.
Steve was such a good sport. But Gil is hysterical.
holy shit this interview had me in tears
Goddamn I love this show. Amazing episode
21:25 Steve is a hero just like every other firefighter❤
"We've been saddled with..." lol
Probably one of the funniest GGACP’s…
Thanks
Amazing 😂❤, miss Gilbert
I think the comedian steve is talking about he liked didnt know his name was a young and really funny Boston comedian Steve Sweeney, Thanks UA-cam.
1:01:29 Gilbert's Paul Lynde story was hilarious.

I'm upset they didn't talk boardwalk much
I am amused that 90% of this podcast was gilbert laughing
Socks and Gilbert lol 9/11 keeps on giving 25:45
48:30 another gem
1:06:30 this is just a classic
OMFG the sock story was classic... I almost spat out my dam food
It’s crazy people analyzing comedy, and on top of that not having a sense of humor.
This interview is hilarious.
Lawrence Tierney was my neighbor. He was a really sweet guy. If you knew how to deal with a drunk, he was no problem at all as a person.
Damn.I heard stories about him.
Gilbert is the best.. Socks... Hahahaha
Gilbert wants his $2.50 and he'll take free socks from NY firemen...
Gilbert is the best
danny kaye and sir L story just sends me LOL
12:27 ya
