Thank you for making this video. I actually already ordered the speedy version, but was able to cancel it. Since this video made me rethink my decision. People really only talk about the speedy version, even when talking about double-cleansing, so I didn't put much thought into the deep version. I suppose having no oiliness after rinsing is nicer, and the speedy one works just fine for sunscreen and typical make-up. Also some people don't follow up with a regular cleanser (couldn't be me). But my skin concern is sebaceous filaments that need to settle the hell down. The deep version works far better for that (as well as for water-proof makeup, just gotta be patient with it, let it sit and do it's thing). So far I have only used Pond's Cold Cream, and that melts away my sebaceous filaments! finally found the way to address my skin concerns (or at least a shitty symptom), it's just that it can't be rinsed off, like at all. Also a proper cleansing oil would be so much nicer to apply. Very glad I watched this video. Update edit: Yea it's god damn awesome. Works amazingly. Much nicer to use than cold cream. Sebaceous Filament symptom is very under control. Still going to try and start tretinoin though. Glad I got the thicker oil version for sure. It doesn't rinse off with just water, but I do it before stepping into the shower and then cleanse in the shower anyway, so it literally doesn't matter.
@@cottageapollo I know this is 10 months later but if you're still needing to know, yes! Apply the oil, massage gently, put a little bit of water, rub to emulsify (it gets slightly frothy/thick) and then rinse it completely off before using the water based cleanser.
I feel that the Speedy cleanser would be perfect for those who just need to take off sunscreen or bb cream, as you don't really need something as heavy duty for that, and it wouldn't get in the eyes. I'm quite interested in it to remove sunscreen actually, although it appears to be trash for waterproof makeup.
Tried the Speedy, which is my first ever oil based cleanser and now I'm gonna try the Deep. I see a couple of comments that says you don't need to double wash with the Speedy, but I do anyway just cause I get paranoid I'm going to break out if I don't.
I am so lucky to find this review. I was trying to figure out which one to get. Definitely not DHC one so expensive but I stumbled onto these alternatives. I was about to purchase it on Amazon and yes the refill packet 😂 never saw your channel before but I will be enjoying watching your reviews for sure. Honest and to the point. Thank you
Thank you so much! The Speedy Cleanser is going viral on TikTok and was compelled to buy it but I personally love a deep cleanser for my skin when it comes to removing makeup so when I saw the "Deep" variation, I was curious to know if it may be better! I don't think I'll mind the oily-after feeling as I double cleanse always anyway. Reaaaally helpful, thank you so much!!
I’m a white guy who taught English in Korea in 2013. My Korean girlfriend there introduced me to this with dhc deep cleansing and it was fairly cheap there. But she had another cleanser that worked even better and I can’t remember what it was. This stuff totally cleanse out pores it’s great
I know this video is already 2yo but I would love to watch a skincare routine if you haven't done one already! This was the first time watching you and I liked it!
Excellent, well done and covered the right issues. This helped me make my choice. Really liked also the fact that you added a comparison of DHC cleansing oil since it is so hyped. I'm going to try the Kosymo Deep Cleansing oil. Thank you!!!
I didn't like the DHC oil cleanser, too thick. My favorite is the Hadalabo Cleansing Oil but it's become difficult to find. Will probably try the Kose.
Hi, I have a question. Can I use the Deep cleansing one to melt away my blackheads? I have been searching for the right oil cleanser to get rid of blackheads. But this one caught my eye. Hopefully someone will reply, Thanks :)
This one is pretty nice for massaging your face with since it’s got a bit of a thicker feel which would help with that process of massaging out the sebaceous filaments. But I dont know of any oil cleaners that will be able to melt away blackheads on their own
Thanks for the video, I have been struggling to decide between the speedy, deep and the hada labo gokujyun. I was leaning towards the deep cleansing oil because I liked the dhc one, and your video has helped me to finally decide on the deep version of the cleansing oil. I have an empty pump bottle of the Cerave cleanser. Do you think it’s a good idea to get the refill pack and put it inside the empty pump bottle I have?
Wow thanks for the video! I was wondering which one should I buy. The Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil is named speedy cuz you don’t have to use a cleansing foam after it... also you can use it with a wet face and hand I believe (not completely sure tho). I don’t wear makeup, but I wear sunscreen. Do you think the speedy one would be enough for that? But the deep one sounds good too, but my current cleansing oil is thick, and I don’t enjoy it that much... 😣 Thanks again!!💞💞
Ooohh good to know, it definitely leaves a smooth clean feeling after so that makes sense! Hmmm i think speedy would be enough for sunscreen for sure, but a big downside is also that it clouds my vision quite a bit. Maybe it wouldnt as much if you didnt have to rub eye makeup off though...🤔
I don’t think the speedy is meant to be speedier at taking off makeup but instead emulsifying and coming off of your face. So it’s certainly not the better makeup remover but I like as a quick first step to double cleansing as I do not wear makeup. It’s by no means bad, just a different purpose.
Yep these absolutely will all remove a full face of makeup. I’m just nitpicking about how quickly/nice things feel while doing so in comparison to each other
Hello! I was looking for cleanser but I need to know which is your liquid eyeliner (that you couldn't remove)!!! I've been searching one for a long time! Please 🙏 respond @serena K! I would really appreciate it ☺️
I've been using mascaras and liquid liner from heroine make for a while now. The eyeliner is the make smooth liquid eyeliner waterproof in black (The brown one has a worse formula in my experience).
@@Siberius- i know you follow the softy mo oil cleanser with water based cleanser but do you wash off the oil with water before using water based cleanser?
@@cottageapollo - Oh, no I don't bother with that shit. Before my evening shower, outside of the shower I use a pump or so on dry skin with dry hands; then message for ~3 minutes (sebaceous filament struggles. It's AWESOME for this). Then step into the shower, and then put my face under the water for a bit, then when I realise that is doing literally nothing, I use my cleanser (I use CeraVe Foaming cleanser but either way), and then it's all completely gone with just the one round of cleansing. Don't at all have to bother with removing the oil first, or even attempt to. Just wet the face so as the cleanser can probably work better. (Edit: Actually, I have since learned that with some patience it does come off completely with water alone, at least with shower water hitting the face. Less oil also makes it easier). I use a somewhat decent amount of cleanser, since I thinkkk oil makes cleanser/shampoo/etc. not foam up as much... maybe along with dirt and stuff. Not that it needs to foam up to work, but I do like me some foam. The SPEEDY version will just get removed from the face with water alone I hear. But for me I want a thicker more serious oil for my sebaceous filaments to massage it for a while, rather than just using it for water-resistant sunscreen or makeup or whatever.
I just started using softymo deep cleansing and I’m in love ❤️ it emulsifiers so easily and leaves no sticky or oily residue after washing.
is it comedogenic? because someone said it is🤔
Hi I have been using it for 2 weeks now
Now mine doesn't emulsify that much. Like it's feel sticky and oily after splashing water
Update?

For a guy that doesn't wear makeup the speedy oil cleanser is perfect for me.
On the other hand i wear super waterproof mascara, so I probably tend to work in the oil around my eye area more than the average user

I only use sunscreen, powder, blusher and brow mascara. I think the speedy one would be adequate for me.

vaseline!

what eyeliner did u use 😨? please help. all of the eyeliners i've used smudge so fast ☹️

but its speedy in the sense that they advertise it as not needing to use another cleanser after ++ emulsifies faster as she said
