Girls do high reps low weight and don’t ego lift. High reps low weight is best for lower body. They also rarely do squats alone, like internet dogma suggests. They do all those accessory lifts and weird shit for their bums

I think the 1st gym is Steve's Gym, Downham, Kent UK. Whenever some of the top bodybuilding champions in the 80s used to fly in to London for a show many of them used to get a session in here. It was kind of the UK equivalent of a bodybuilding Mecca. I trained here a few times. It was a bit grimey but the equipment was solid, well set up, and worked well, and the vibe was good. There was a dedicated 'deadlift' room which was basically a dusty little side room with some bars, a pile of old weight plates, and a couple of old doors on the floor to use as a lifting platform 😂. Also Steve the owner and many of the regulars were very knowledgeable old school bodybuilders and I learnt a lot about technique, mind body connection, and tempo from them. Steve used to concoct his own special PWO shake that you could buy. God knows what was in it (probably whey, raw eggs and dianabol) but it did the trick! Unfortunately I closed down about 10 years ago. End of an era ...

Thatb first gym looks like the original gyms I worked in the 80s, old equipment, dirt floors, gyms usually didn't have much money back when.
Little known fact: That first gym actually existed in Stoney Creek Ontario Canada in the '80s. No heat in winter but plenty of rust to go around
