I saw Ben from Ben's Watch Club review this watch and his biggest complaint was how the seconds hand was all over the place, but hardly ever on the indices. Good to see yours lines up, but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on a watch if it's prone to that particular issue.
I have a King Seiko Vanac that looks exactly the same with a faceted crystal. Blue and gold is a great combo. Would probably pick this up if I didn't have that already.
Timex is putting out some really cool timepieces right now, I just wish the quality matched the price. Those little details. But yes, I absolutely love the vibe of this watch.
Thanks for the review. My wrist is probably smaller than yours so I'm sure it won't fit I didn't think about the band tapering up. But it's a really beautiful watch.
Personally I like it my first watch in 1962 was a Timex and still Works some collectors don't like to collect timex but then again some collectors collect bottle caps in my personal watch collection I got like 30 vintage Timex and for Father's Day I got the Timex Marlin burgundy automatic and I keep that for as long as I live final conclusion I think that Timex you should keep on ticking
I had the same issue with the clasp being at the tightest point but the watch being too loose. But I thought of a solution! The area of the braclet that the sliding clasp can access is 15mm, and the clasp is also 15mm. Once it starts to taper, it goes to 16mm and up. I only needed to get the clasp to that 16mm territory, as I'm sure you do as well. I ordered a 16mm sliding clasp for $4.95 from Esslinger.com and it's perfect now!
No problem! You should make a video about it for others who have the same problem. I was genuinely surprised that I thought of it. I was brainstorming ideas and that's what I came up with!
LordTannet1 I always forget how much stuff esslinger carries lol. Very good idea dude, I’ll work on making the vid! I’m going out of town for about a week and I’ll order it when I get back :)
Lenny’s Cheap Watch Channel thats the kind of well informed and researched review I’m talking about can’t make a review that leaves more questions than answers
I just received mine, it's impossible to align the minute hand with the markers, during one of the attempts the seconds' hand got stuck between two seconds....am I the only one who experienced that?
Looks good, I have the Q Re-Issue with the GMT bezel and like you the bracelet although okay, I still don't like it. However, I saw a vid of someone reviewing it and he changed the bracelet for a oyster looking one from a Casio. As long it's 18 mm lugs, it should fit the Timex. Nicely done.
@@lennyscheapwatchchannel2099 Wow that looks awesome! The oyster bracelet really brings out a whole new look to the watch. The only thing will be to buff out the Casio name of the clasp or finding a Timex one that would fit to complete it properly. Nice!
Alithia451 I tried to lol. In the video where it says “some time later” I was trying to. Because the lugs are shrouded you can’t slip a nato under the spring bars so I tried to put the spring bars on after laying the nato under them buuuut it’s just too tight.
Lenny’s Cheap Watch Channel you need to buy a set of curved spring bar pins. Had the same problem putting a a NATO on my Phoibos. They’re specifically designed for that reason. Can find them on amazon in 18 and 20 mm.
Review of the Timex box starts a little over 4 minutes. And the watch itself a little over 5 minutes. It would be better to come to the review within a minute and do a separate review for the Seiko.
Adjust the time forward until the day just flips to the next language then adjust the time backwards until it jumps, then it will stay on that language. Does that help?
Well i think you need to make up your mind does it pull your hairs or not? maybe you can make your work researching the watch you’ll be reviewing, “not knowing or not caring” about it does not favor your watch channel. A well informed review makes your content and channel interesting if that’s what you’re looking for. Best wishes
Lenny’s Cheap Watch Channel all good i know this watch just came out I was talking about the comparison with the original, but I just give an honest opinion and hopefully constructive criticism it’s your channel you know what to do with it
That Seiko you are wearing has a dive watch look, but it is absolutely not a dive watch. It does not meet the specifications for the designation. Note the absence of the word diver on the dial.
Why don't you do some research before making one of these "great" videos!! "Is this from 1978?" Of course it is genius!!!! You have NO business reviewing watches!!
Finally, a channel that features affordable watches... And by affordable, I don't mean $500-$1000.
“Welcome to my affordable watch channel this watch only costs $1000 😮😮😮”
Hahahaha
Check out Just One More Watch

The battery hatch seems like a great idea, why did it ever change?
Looks bigger on the wrist, but suppose it's all relative : Your wrist size, please?
Thanks!
PHANTOGRAM ! ...cool review too. Been wearing my Falcon for the last 6 days. Super comfortable.. no hairs pulled. It's been a good experience.
He’ll yeah Phantogram!!!
I had a Timex Black Max circa 1978...I’d like to see a reissue of that!
Ooooh that’s a slick watch!
I have a NOS Black Max. I am very careful when I wear it!! The powder coat finish is usually gone when you find these.
mjmorrill081 I AM SO JELLY.
Very nice looking. Fun watch and completely worth it (to me).
With a dial Like that Absolutely!

Carol Moran Wear what you like! I personally love the Timex brand, and I always keep my eye out for some vintage pieces

@@lennyscheapwatchchannel2099 hey! Did you ever order that clasp?
Subscribed. We can't all afford a Rolex. Nice review thanks. BTW. I particularly like the font style on this watch. Very 70s. Best wishes from the UK.
Interesting to note that the bracelet was still loose after moving the clasp as far as it would go. I'm curious what size wrist you have.
Allan Bedford about 6.75”
@@lennyscheapwatchchannel2099 Thanks so much!
Same
I bought this watch and the day is stuck in Spanish and there's no quickset. Can you tell me how to fix this?
Hiya and new to your channel. First review I have seen of this and that dial is a killer! Good on Timex.Cheers.
BTW do you know if the link on the clasp can be adjusted to make it tighter, most nice watches are able to do that. Thanks.
moddude101 Not really, you can buy clasps that will replace the ones on the Timex so you can adjust further up the band, but it involves soldering.
@@lennyscheapwatchchannel2099 thanks for the insight!
moddude101 Someone told me that info in another comment on this video hahaha
i still can't adjust the clasp position :(
The quartz mechanism is noisy or not? "Timex easy reader" I hear even when I drive a car :)
I just received mine, it's impossible to align the minute hand with the markers, during one of the attempts the seconds' hand got stuck between two seconds....am I the only one who experienced that?
Alessandro Cerioli That’s interesting, I’ll check mine later today and get back to you!
I just check mine out and it’s doing fine, no issues with mine at all. Maybe get in touch with Timex?
@@lennyscheapwatchchannel2099 thanks, I am writing to them even if I am pessimistic as I already contacted for another reason and received no answer.
Hi, is the ticking loud.
Any gaskets on the battery opening?
sol star I’m sure there are but I’m not going to open it unless I need to haha
Enjoyed the video! What is your wrist size?
6.75" :)
@@lennyscheapwatchchannel2099 so is mine. Thanks!
How much is the timex in US dollars?

I like the vid. I would have liked the Sports 5 more if it was cleaned of smudges. Beautiful watch though.
Yes I need to work on that for sure 😂

6:28 water resistant 50 meters so you can wash your hands…. cool, my hands are 40 meters long so that works
Seiko looks great on you!

That Seiko Is not a dive watch, unless you consider pool swimming Diving
Lenny, is there somewhere where I can message you regarding a watch?
Hey! Sorry I didn't see this sooner. You can message me on my instagram! it's lennys_cheap_watches
@@lennyscheapwatchchannel2099 No worries Sir and thanks for the reply! I'll send you a message there. I enjoy your content by the way!
Yes it is a copy from 1978 bracelet is slightly different 😃
100 meters is not a dive watch unless you restrict your diving to the local pool
how do you change the day to stay on spanish
i figured it out.

It's a better-looking Q, that's for sure. Once it gets done pulling out all the rogue hairs, you'll be fine. [wink]
Randy Novick I think so too haha thank you x)
New Timex .. and then you showing us your Seiko first 5 minutes 😂
Goran Pavletic Gotta get that wrist check 😂 I should’ve just made a whole video for it, I love that watch haha
Lenny’s Cheap Watch Channel work on a quicker wrist check :)
I noticed the same. Too long to get to the point.
Why does almost all watch reviewers do a wrist check?
What is your wrist size ?
Does anyone else have the days in Spanish? If so how do I fix this ?

Where's your gloves bro?!! Your leaving finger prints everywhere!!! Are you mad?!!!
