I'm surprised that Rubik's brand is still doing stuff like this, even after supposedly becoming less apprehensive and more friendly to speedcubing several years ago.

Loving these discussions from a business perspective. If Rubik's hired some Chinese cube designer, I think they could release a decent magnetic speedcube that is competitive enough with brands like qiyi, moyu and gan.
