I lived in Canoa Ranch in the 70s / 73/74 I loved Green Valley I was a teen when I lived out there with my parents, I sure love Green Valley As. And Tucson .
Nice job! For those retired musicians who are still playing, the Green Valley Concert Band is also very active. And there are also two Green Valley Big Bands for jazz enthusiasts and musicians.
@@TucsonArizona I taught band in the Sahuarita schools close to 30 years, so in that time I came to know many retired band directors and other musicians who lived in Green Valley. There is also a choral group active in Green Valley, so it is a vibrant music scene!
Thank you. Definitely an area to consider for quiet but active retirement living. Any idea if most HOAs prohibit a gas stove? I was on Zillow, and I noticed ALL Green Valley homes had an electric stove even when heating is gas.

I wouldn't mind living in a place like Green Valley with the Green Valley Recreation except for one thing -- that you have to join if you move into houses with the deed restrictions or you have to sign the deed restrictions to voluntarily joins is absolute poison to me. I would never want to move any place so heavy handed. If it was voluntary, I'd love it, but what they are doing is about as draconian as can be imagined. There is no way I would ever join such an organization.

@@hisremnant In Green Valley, there are no community orchestras, but there are several in Greater Tucson who do perform concerts in Green Valley.

There are plenty of condos with gas fireplaces and appliances.
Some such as The Springs do not have gas.

True, many people have the same opinions about that
There are a lot of properties that do not fall under GVR, and there is also the QUAIL Creek community which is East of GV.

The GVR is expensive & difficult to get out once you're a member so no thanks!!!
