Why is this surprising? lol! Ladera Ranch is ultra suburbia with conservative family's. Have a pride parade where there is already a gay community, Laguna Beach, Garden Grove, Long Beach.

Event organizers probably failed to provide funding for city services such as waste disposal, Security, additional police presence, public works, first aid stations and permission from surrounding businesses/ residents.
