You'll NEVER see these 3 men together again. They're conducting interviews in Heaven. R.I.P. Mean Gene, Bobby THE BRAIN, & Nick Bockwinkle. Wrestling isn't the same without you.
Gene had an announcer’s master stroke: to draw this to a close, come in a little bit louder than anyone else “THANK YOU GENTLEMEN VERY MUCH, WE’LL SEE YOU....” brilliant!
This probably is one of the last times Mean Gene would appear on AWA TV. A few weeks after this he would be interviewing Hogan after he beat the Iron Sheik for the WWF championship.
Okerland did a decent job getting Nick and Bobby to speak. Normally, they are very reticent to speak. I think Ken Resnick showed Mean Gene the ropes so far as interviews and announcing.
Those days of wrestling never get old you went too the arena hoping to see a beating how they involved your imagination believing it was real even though deep down you knew it wasn’t.
I think Heenan left in the middle of 1984. In fact, he was the only one of the guys that Vince went after that stayed around long enough to finish off all his dates unlike Hogan and the rest of the other guys who left to go work for the WWF.
When presented with Nick Bockwinkel's image in the pixels on my screen, I decided to peruse the full video. I wasn't disappointed. Nick presented an arrogant, truculent, yet articulate visage.
These are the best, growing up I watched these on WSNS Chicago

Exactly when did Heenan leave the AWA for the WWF?

Heenan left for the WWF in the late-spring/early summer of ‘84 I believe
