I LOVE Betsey Johnson. Got an opportunity to meet her and her daughter in NYC. She is the sweetest, happiest person. Both her and Lulu are beautiful inside and out. She's such an inspiration and hero. Hope she's around more many years.

I’m now 47 1/2, and I just wear whatever the hell I want. I can’t be bothered to “dress for my age,” as I have no idea what that’s “supposed” to mean. I look @ most women, and they appear as if they gave up on life & themselves A LONG TIME AGO, but I always knew that I wanted to be vibrant & to always live my best life for the entire span of my existence.
I feel great knowing that I’ve had to overcome SO much to be the person I am today, and I hope that people see & feel the joy & passion that I exude-I know that those who WANT to see it, do.

It is now 2014 and I am 74 years old, I remember going into paraphanalia in Boston as a student, I always wanted one of your T-shirt tops! I love hair, make-up, clothes and to take all these fun things and make it my own, I have a little apartment and have a heart with your name on it in my bathroom, I love to decorate, I also have a large poster of jean shrimpton advertisement for Yardley of London also hanging in my bathroom which I love, I look around how I decorate, and I always say if Betsey was here I know she would relate to my things, our taste is similiar! You represent youth to me, your excitement and fun of fashion it's cute, it's mod, it's hippie, it's feminine, all wrapped up with a bow! Thank-you for being you, so I can relate to you! I was so lucky to meet Bessie Johnson in Malibu. I ran up to her total fan girl and told her how many dresses I had of hers. I scared her at first, but then she hugged me and took pictures with me and she’s so freaking cool.
