My husband and I are poly, he dates women and I date men as we are both straight. Since changing our marriage to a poly marriage we've not only grown closer together, but found so much more happiness that it has surprised us because we already had a very happy and loving relationship......

I've known people who were "sharing". These people will grow tired of it once they reach their 40's. It's when you are not as distracted by your kids or your job that you will start to lose interest in " sharing", which starts to happen at that age.

I would think if you could just get past a two year point maybe that would somewhat subside..?... as you would have experienced several cycles of A growing closer with B, then later B growing closer with C, then A growing closer with C, and around again. All couples go through cycles of closeness, but with a threesome that does seem SO complicated, those cycles can vary greatly in time span.

Polyamory is not for everyone. But depending on your situation, personality, and that of your partners, it sometimes is a better option. It’s not the same as an open relationship or polygamy. It’s a loving committed relationship between 3 consenting people that love each other. It is possible to love more than one person at a time.

I feel its great, they seem happy and the kids are well taken care of. Everyone should love and be in relationships that feel right for them, and they seem very much in a loving balanced relationship. Every relationship brings its challenges, and they have worked at it. They also seem like very good parents, and that would make a difference within the family togetherness. I personally only like being with one woman, in love and focused on her. I just feel more comfortable channeling my love and focus into one woman. I do however support these people being in love and togetherness as they feel to be. Very interesting subject.

I see nothing wrong with this..if people can accept and embrace homosexual relationships/marriages, then why not extend that same acceptance to polygamous relations?? its perfectly natural and ensures that fewer women will be left out in the cold when it comes to dating and marriages (given the male-female ratio). besides, most men are naturally inclined to be polygamous ANYWAY. people really need to start opening their minds and stop letting society dictate to them what is acceptable and what isnt. It teaches subliminal inequality, it promotes concepts of dominance of one person or group over the other, and men and women who enter these relationships are damaged individuals to accept this in the first place. There are many who might support this for some sick reason such as simply wanting to have two or more women at the same time, (multiple men and one woman polygamy would still be rare even at this point in society) and without any other thought such as actually dedicating their entire heart and all of their love and time to one person. I think polygamy is flawed and damaged and it is an inconsiderate travesty of the supposed inherited emotional intelligence of humans, but maybe my expectations of our race is too high, we are simply animals after all right? Our minds being able to perceive the soul and the universe and to long to be among the stars means nothing, the dream of completing ourselves with one other must simply be a delicate, far off concept that we can't obtain as a standard for our entire species.
