You only really need echo, reverb and a filter. There is so much variation in combining those three in different ways

Just got a FLX10 last week… everything about it is so top-notch… Until you start isolating stems. It’s absolutely baffling that they did not upgrade the algorithm with the RB7. Fortunately, effecting the stems sounds OK and is super novel and fun, but that’s the only thing they have going for them. If I had bought the FLX10 a year ago I definitely would have bailed to Serato already, and thanks to the DJCU I’m comfortable with installing Serato and learning it and will switch over completely if stems aren’t updated soon
It’s very obviously a plot by pioneer to get as many people as possible sucked into the ecosystem even with their underpowered laptops. I get it. It’s also inevitable that if/when stems get upgraded it will be behind a paywall. I get it. JUST FRIGGIN DO IT ALREADY PIONEER
I have the FLX10 as well, and same level of disappointment. I dabbled in Serato, but it felt really strange to me. Have to give it another go!
Soon you regret buying it. If you jump to a XZ,RX3 or even 2-3000 Pioneer decks, you hardly know how to use them. Imo the FLX10 and all controllerd are crap. You need a all in one unit or better.
@@theaverageguy3884 I've had it almost a year and I live in Ibiza, no regrets. You absolutely can use a controller and still play on CDJ's or standalones. Also not everyone intends to play on them anyway??
The problem with algoriddim and being at the forefront of technology is that they’ve neglected hardware comparability recently. Perhaps the 6:44 update next week will be for algoriddim, if it is, I hope they’ve listened and add some much needed hardware support.

Another awesome podcast. I watched that mix with Mojaxx, and it's still pretty dope.
I know it's probably too late with this example, but I feel that we as a community need to support products like SC 6000's - if only that it forces the creation of competition at that end of the market...because, without stating the obvious, the lack of competition leads to one thing, the monopoly of the market for everything from price to innovation.. and who gets affected? The community....
The Serato update shows how little they are listening to their users, and this is the company that is going to be gobbled up by Pioneer, opening the door for less and less pressure to produce quality updates for the community and the possibility of a price that isn't anything but exorbitant... synical perspective, I know, but it needs addressing before we, the community are the ones affected. We need to do something while still have a chance to influence it... sometimes I think it's already too late....knowhaddamean 🙌 I know this has been said before but hey...?

Yep, had too much to drink, it was quite a few years ago, not sure where it was, but I do recall. I had black slip mats, it was dark & instead of dropping the record on the empty deck, it went straight on top of the one playing out & you can imagine the screech it made. Just had to quickly get take it off, get on the mic say something, reposition the needle again, then start again. You soon sober up after that & learn not to do it again.
