When he knocked the little guy to the ground, I respected him very much for putting out his hand and picking him up off the ground. We need more of this in the world.
Where were you taking him michael? To the bus it was time for him to go home. That was the most famous line from Michael Oher he actually said that this is probably the only scene that is completely true.
2:30 reminds me of a quote of Sun Tzu: "Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death."
As an umpire, I know how hard it is to be a referee in ANY sport. However, I've seen refs do this kind of crap. This movie, while somewhat scripted and false, was fantastic and this entire scene was awesome. Coach: "What was the flag for?" Ref: "I dunno. Excessive Blocking" Awesome, hilarious and probably true.
TheNonMakeupGuru Its not always racist..it can also be because the ref favors one team over the other. As long as you have a human judging, they will always be biased in some capacity.
Exactly last night my team had like 10+ penaltys on them the other had like 2 and the other team was hitting after the whistle a shit ton this kid kneed our our Qb in the head and they were ripping his helmet off hitting our RBs wicked late the refs weren't calling anything
4:18 i think that was probably one of my favourite moments of the movie, cos Collins at first was a bit weirded out by Michael living at theirs, but she quickly warmed up to him like a brother despite what people at school thought
I prefer to think that she tolerated it because she hated the idea of him living on the streets and clearly her little brother took a liking to him I do agree she had definitely warmed up to him as the movie progressed, like the scene where she chooses to study and do homework with him instead of her friends
Probably one of the best movies I have ever seen. I try to act like its just ok around my wife because its her favorite movie and everytime she watches it, i secretly smile to my self. 😂 Great movie
@@israppleraglobalistgroup2270 yeah but it’s still a movie? 😭 if it were a documentary they would have to have all details 100% but it’s a movie based on a true story so technically they can add any twists they want.
We need more coaches like this defend his players no matter what my coach back in high school was the same way no matter what if he knew something funny was going on he let the refs know about and called them out on it and defended his players like we were his own kids
Every time I watch this movie, I can't get over how well Tim McGraw cleans up....he looks completely different clean shaven....he's a handsome dude, either way (and not a bad actor), but DAMN, he's yummy in this movie!
Last year was my first year in football, I played all positions on the o line at 145lbs. I wasn't very good but my coach believed in me and he always yelled "to the bus!" Most fun I had doing anything, this clip is always gonna be special to me because of that coach.
that moment he pushed the guy all way to the outside of court and sending him to the opposide side of the fence hit me hard.. he see his life flashing in his eyes
There's a few in Remember the Titans that I thought were slightly more emotion filled...also I feel like people forget about Friday Night Lights which has some insanely good scenes!!!
The coach in this movie is actually a fair representation of most high school coaches to be fair lol just trying to help out and parents constantly yell at em lol
"What was the flag for?"
"I don't know. Excessive blocking"
NFL refs in a nutshell
"You're kidding me"
"Excessive blocking? sounds like something you check with your doctor"
Well no but that guy I am 100% sure he pulled that out of his butt from reaching all the way to the large intestine and yanking that out
well youre almost right...... NFL refs making calls on a team that Tom Brady is playing against would be more accurate
What can he say. "It was time for him to go home"
“To the bus….it was time for him to go home.” Probably one of the best lines I have ever heard delivered in a movie.
Literally
Now That’s what I call taking out the trash. Heheheheh

Hello
That small detail when Michael returned the flag to the ref shows how kind he is
What really makes that scene great is the ref's reaction when Michael hands him the flag.

That was the most famous line from Michael Oher he actually said that this is probably the only scene that is completely true.

yes but this scene was completly true everything that happened in this scene really happened exactly the same way

What movie is this
Sandra Bullock still fine to this day. Her character though, that's the one parent every coach hates to see coming.
IRL the lady she's playing was in an elevator with Oher and Joe Flacco at the team's hotel and she told him he was holding on to the ball too long.
