Glad to see you fishing our Central Coast Man! Maybe I'll catch you out here one day. About this time you uploaded this video there were a huge group of great whites not to far north of the launch. Some big ones tagged. Great videos bro catching up on your content
You seriously need to be a marine biologist. "What a beautiful, beautiful fish" Not a common thing to hear a fisherman say. I think it is more common to hear how tasty it will be. It is also cool how you can make a slow day on the water seem fun, so quirky, talkative and positive. Thanks again for a fun video!
Thank you! Currently replying from college, where I'm studying environmental biology to pursue something in the field of conservation biology :) been my dream since I was a kid. Fishing and experiencing different life forms and their movements has greatly reinforced that desire, as I get to observe many of the principles I learn about in action. Hoping to integrate more of a biology perspective to my videos rather than just fishing
That is quite the coincodink! Hope you are enjoying it and I am sure you will go on to do great things! I have a favorite evolutionary biologist, Richard Dawkins. Took his online biology course, dated but interesting. Tight Lines! :) @@FishermansChronicles
That might have been a Patrale Sole that followed your bait up. Ive caught a couple those in the area you fish thinking it was a small halibut but a large sole but light bluish white spots
Nice to see you made it back to the central coast. I still remember taking that photo of your 5 limit that day. One in the mouth. Hope to see you in the water again sometime.
I agree, I probably catch around 50-60% of my halibut every year on a swimbait, and the majority of rockfish, lingcod, etc. Super effective and extremely underrated
Hey, been very busy with school but have a lot of content from summer that I still need to upload. Size L are sold out! But I've got XL and M if you'd like... there is not a huge difference in each size
My friend got killed by a great white at Gaviota. They found his kayak a few days later with bite marks and he was never found. We have caught some good halibut at the sea wall, but I sold my kayak and have not been in the water since. Be careful if you ever go back.
@@addicted2fishing119 very true, I know the chances are extremely slim compared to vehicular death, however my phobia is mainly of being eaten alive. Sorry for your losses 🥲
@@ShorelineC that’s real brother and I sincerely share my condolences to you and all involved… We cannot live our lives in fear of anything but definitely a healthy respect for what’s reality 🍻💪🏽❤️🔥
Oof, I am very sorry to hear that. I am going to set up a shark shield on my kayak, hopefully that will keep me more safe. I did feel uneasy many times throughout the summer after getting circled last year
No, it’s actually a high quality shirt. The shirt material is the District Perfect Tri Tee and the screen printing is also well done. It may look a little see through in that picture because of the white color and light, but I stand by my product. If you want, order one and if you don’t like it, email me and ill reimburse you
😭😭the mackerel and halibut at the end
Mackerel broke my heart 😅

wow!! its the sharkiest area ever 😅 a different kayak fisherman got followed by a smaller one the morning I filmed this video
Nice video I like that set up with that white swim bait 👍
Thanks! Swimbaits get it done

interesting!! could have been! It was so quick I barely processed
In the 80's i used to launch (boat wench) to the ranch to dive at Ab Alley. Was always a little sharky. Study hard!

Thank you Chris! That was a fun day. Hope you're well and tight lines!
Always amazes me how reliant most people are on bait. Seriously, lures work, well, sometimes better

Are you back in SF or is this from earlier this year?
I’ve had 7-10” sand dabs eat my live sardines 😂
LMB of the sea=Halibut 🍻😂
This is from earlier in the year, I am at school now. Surprisingly, I have not caught many sanddabs!
Hey bro, it’s been a while no large shirts available size L ?😮

Damn that is unfortunate, sorry for your loss, I live in Goleta and surf fish the coast, I am afraid of the ocean.
I have 10 friends who have died in car accidents…
I haven’t sold my car 🍻

What did you drop in the water?
His gaff
yep
Dude that baitcaster you were using for the swimbait sounds horrible lol gotta get it serviced lol
I know, it is dead 😅 its a super old one i dug out of the garage and just fished it till it was destroyed but it got the job done all summer
That's a shitty shirt for $30 bucks. Don't rip people off selling them a see through shirt for $30. C'mon guy.

You lost your gaff in the water
Yeah, i realized while editing this video
