I think cage and Mandy are the real people compassionate etc . They meet sociopaths and cage is just tough as he’s real and inspired by the universe Mandy just laughs as they’re both transcended in a way. They’re on the next level from the others but the guy from predator who can see the future and helps him prepare It’s sort of a western like evil dead or death wish
Interesting that Panos originally had Cage in mind as the cult leader. "12 Monkeys" is another great film where the two leads (Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt) asked to switch places and it worked out even better than what Gilliam had originally intended.

Mandy is definately the coolest film I've seen this year. Perhaps this decade.

Vampires Kiss is my favorite Cage movie too, good shit Panos.
It's still my favorite, but I think Mandy is now my favorite Cage performance. It's a close call, really.
Panos is the freaking man! Beyond the Black Rainbow & Mandy is a killer one-two punch. Excited to watch his career flourish
