The new laws pretty much punish everyone but the criminals😂😂😂
Awesome! So many new laws that don’t help with crime, homeless, and Open drug use….. Democrat Utopia…
People having more money does help with crime and homeless.
@@MakeBetterStuff who getting more money? prices will increase sales will drop automation will move in and fire employees..
@@MakeBetterStuffNo, it actually doesn’t…It increases prices because someone has to pay for the increase and the employer definitely will not pay out of the kindness of their pockets. If you think they will, you are living on delulu island.🏝️

Bar all Wall St. firms from buying up single family homes to rent out.
A big middle finger to newsom laws, Democrats liberals leftists and all these useless laws
You did not find any of these beneficial? There's a right to repair act, which is great to stop throwing things out. The new campground cancellation law is great so people don't reserve them online and never show up. This allows people who want to go camping to have more availability and access to the outdoors. The ability to cancel hotels within the first 24 hours is nice. Only requiring one month's rent is also nice, as it will reduce the financial burden for those looking for housing. Allowing people to bring their electric scooters into their homes is pretty great. I'd imagine it was inconvenient for people who used one to keep it outdoors.
Yeah, workers don't deserve 5 sick days. Screw you Newsom for caring about the average worker!
@@raylessnesses3756 shit we need 30 days of vacation per year
None of these law will make me want move California 👎🏾
But people may move out of CA when they realize no one can afford the $14 taco or the $22 bacon and eggs at Denny's.

Now you're lucky to buy a shitty used car on 20.00.
Much was it? Like $100ish?
As a teen I was making 9 an hour and bought a used car for $1000
That was 50 years ago you 🤡💩
Renters still want people to make $$ 3-4 times the rent. Like thats possible in CA.
wow...$16 and $20 on min wage....that sure is gonna help a hell lot with the 300% increase on rent and a whole bunch of other cost of living!!
Consumer goods will go up on top of all the looting causing it to go up more

Thank god i sold my rental condo in Los Angeles four years ago and got out of California.
Never going back, especially real estate.
They can raise the minimum wage all they want, all the business owners will pass that cost down to consumers, resulting in higher cost-of-living canceling out your wage increase. Increasing wages but not stopping the rise of cost-of-living is just a show put on by politicians for your vote. It’s going to screw over small businesses so they can’t operate for a reasonable profit and small business create 60% of the jobs in America.
Tougher to get taxes out of small businesses, CA wants them gone and this is one way to do it
Do your part and ask your boss for a reduction in pay.
You can't expect minimum wage to stay stagnant and not raise.
Shows how much you know about economics. 🤡
Shop small business people!😊
Yup we know this, they love it, stealing is the solution unfortunately
Non of the laws address crime or housing
Or growing areas of criminality like identity theft and what to do about it. Except for the scooter batteries issues that probably need to be addressed, these laws seem weak.
Happy Meal $21.45
oh and no toy cuz that causes fat kids
Unhappy meal. 😞
Interesting how they say you can cancel on a private business with no penalty but if you cancel on a government source of revenue you get penalized
There are thousands of hotels and airbnbs. Very few campgrounds by comparison. Very limited availability. It makes sense to me.
Campgrounds are in short supply. They want people to be able to use them and not have people "sit on them", not using them. That's usually not an issue with a hotel.
I saw that too! Doesn't make monetary sense... One more way they're destroying businesses.
There never was a law preventing disclosure of wages to other employees. It was just a threat by companies to lowball others pay.
This just make it clearer that employer can't lie it being not permitted.
Governor Newsome is determined to destroy the fast food business.$20 an hour for flipping burgers? You'll be paying $8 for a bag of fries.😮
When your grandfather flip burgers it was consider a high paying job it just inflation made it look like a minimum wage.these should be minimum wage jobs. Frankly these ceos are forcing their businesses to be considered minimum wage in the view of the public when it never was.also people inflate their prices even without increase in wages. California have law against price gouging and have categories depending on how big each individual business is.
No, not the fast food business, he’s aiming directly at capitalism as a whole
Wages are not the problem. They are stealing from you by raising up everything in prices. Why are eggs $11 a carton in 2023? WHY? Is it all of a sudden harder to pick and distribute eggs? Is technology to do so less primitive than last year? Of course not. YOU DUMMIES everything should be going down in value but you have been conditioned to think the opposite 🧐

The economy is grappling with uncertainties, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.
Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?

$20 an hour to flip BURGERS. So Fast food is now a LUXURY that is TOTALLY out of any retired person’s Budget.
I had my wife pick me up a Burger a year ago when she was in town. She came back with a CRAPPY Wendy’s single with cheese. NO SIDES. If you’re seventy, disabled and worked for FIFTY years, not so much.
In-n-out already pays $19 and their prices haven’t changed... A society that doesn’t take care of its most vulnerable citizens is cruel. Also most fast food has always been known to be low quality. People like you were complaining when minimum wage went from $11 to $15 just a few years ago and everything is fine.
@@raulcoll08 Everything is fine? You don't buy groceries do you?
$16 bucks an hour will just pass the cost down to the consumer. It still won't help address the housing crisis. Where are the landlords right with that 1 month deposit ? I understand big housing companies take advantage of tenants but there are plenty of independent landlords whose financial future is tied up with that home or apartment they lease out. 1 month security deposit does not help cover cost from any tenants trashing the place.
Well if tenants trash the place the landlord can sue them.
You didn't know that?

I'm sorry but the $20/hr for fast food workers is kinda BS. Like what makes them more special than any other minimum wage job cause thats what working at McD typically is. Your minimum wage job.
the fact that minimum wage jobs have been minimum for decades, it's not so much that they are special, it's because of the inflation going on that they need to raise these wages.
Let them enjoy their raise, they are going to be unemployed very soon.
Other businesses can increase their wages to compete
your right it should be more than that. The livable wage for California is more than $26. It also depend on how many stores you have.
Very special, we have to deal with your rude ass attitude and violence
Stop increasing minimum wage. The more you increases the more expensive things will get.
All the issues going on in this state and they are talking about pots and pans and phone repair. The 1st month deposit fee instead of 2 months is also a donkey punch in the face when cost of living is still so freaking high.
It means rental rates may go up if you have poorer credit scores. Sketchy
Interesting they don’t mention about SB2
Nothing on crime ?
You have to really admire the way that California is working to keep unskilled and low-skilled workers (such as teens, especially among minorities) from finding jobs. They are making sure that the welfare-industrial complex continues to be a major power in state politics.
At the same time, boosting fast food wages encourages the replacement of workers by kiosks and even automatic burger flippers, both of which bring in much-needed Western money to Newsom's masters in Beijing.
Lol what? You're so out of touch.

"It will make living and working in California more enjoyable..." so the lowest of the low wage workers now gets more money, which will end up making the cost of the cheapest things more, and parking too close to a crosswalk is now a ticketable offense... and I wouldn't be surprised if cities don't need to paint the curb to let you know and they'll just ticket cars left and right unless you keep a tape measure in your car. Really love the warning on whether or not your cookware has hazardous chemicals, so instead of just I dunno stopping place where food is cooked from having nasty shit that can kill you they went a prop65 direction and they only have to disclose it so every piece of cookware that's not stainless or cast iron will have a sticker on it becoming the "surgeon general warning" mark that people ignore of the cookware world.

Look up the cost of a big Mac in say, Denmark, and then look at their workers wages and vacation time. American workers are getting screwed, and people like you defend it
The creators of McDonalds, In&Out so on were not created only to provide temporary jobs and on the contrary paid fair wages when they were founded. You forget that when someone isn't making enough at work to pay for rent, medical, transportation they will rely on government subsidies which come from the tax payers. Wouldn't you rather the company pay a little bit more in wages to keep the taxpayers from being the default? For California 20$ is pretty minimum considering the cost of rent, transportation and other services. Please stop spreading the lie about low wage work only being created for teens. If so then don't expect to get your food anywhere between the hours of 8-4 and certainly don't complain when there is no late night service as the kids are at home or doing homework.
I paid $10.71 for a fillet of fish meal, medium drink, medium fries on Dec 6th. It was GOOD! But, I've gone to 5 Guys and paid close to $15 for burger and drink, been several months. That was extreme.

They will bring it in. I know shops that have already begun to implement it and I love it. No more having to pay for sick days, employee insurance, workers comp, excuses for not being at work, worker wages, dealing with woke culture… we’ll save so much money with AI and robots in the food industry. Since the operating cost for owner is lower, products will be cheaper as well.
