Nidhögg, Fenrir or Tartaros (the being) could've also easily been on this list. And yeah, putting an immortal, world-ending incarnation of chaos behind a goat vampire is a bit odd.
This list is lazy and dumb. Satan is the master of vampires and Cthulhu was spawned by more powerful entities, as well. We have a great old one in the form of Cthulhu but no reality bending outer gods comprised of time itself such as Azathoth or Yog-Sothoth?
Medusa was not born a monster. She was originally a human priestess who served the goddess Athena, who was changed into a gorgon by Athena, after she was violated in the temple by Poseidon. You cannot say that Medusa is a child of Typhon in this case.
Depends on the version of the legend. Some say the gorgons were born as monsters while others say Medusa was never a priestess and deliberately, with her sister’s help, seduced Poseidon in Athena’s temple.

Another notable creature - unicorns. Yes, really. As described in medieval bestiaries, unicorns were much, MUCH different than they are portrayed today. They were said to be so fearsome that no human could catch or kill them. Their horn was so powerful that they could throw themselves off cliffs, land on their horn, and walk off without a scratch. And they were supposed to be so bloodthirsty that they could impale elephants on their horn and, unable to get the body off, would die of starvation after going for several days unable to bend down and eat.

Cthulhu in Lovecraftian lore is among the weakest beings, he is purely a high priest. Now Azathoth should of been number one, no other being in any mythology can come close to his power so I think this list should've been popular monsters, cause there's no way you classed Werewolves & the Chupacabra & Fachens as being stronger than literal gods & a sun eating serpent. If this was strongest creatures Vampires, Werewolves, the Chupacabra & even Medusa shouldn't have been on the list.
Whenever "strongest" monsters are mentioned as a list, I always hope that biblical monsters would also make the list 😂😂😂. As per Rebecca's mention at the end, here are at least 2 that I can think of (or at least that comes to mind immediately). 1) Leviathan (Job 41:9-34) - this passage is God himself describing the attributes of Leviathan that makes it formidable monster. If taken literally, here are some of its attributes: - Anyone who sees Leviathan loses courage and falls to the ground. When he rises up, even the strongest are frightened and are helpless with fear. - Who can attack him and still be safe? No one in all the world can do it. - His skin is described as armor with rows made of shields, which is fastened together and hard as stone; basically no weak spot - Light flashes when he sneezes and his eyes glow like the rising sun - He can also breathe fire and smoke comes out of his nose. - Metals like bronze and iron are to him as flimsy as straw or rotten wood Basically, according to the Book of Job in the Bible, pretty much no one in the physical created world can beat and the only one that would take to beat it is God. 2) The Devil (or Satan), in his dragon form (Revelation 12:3-). You might question as to why I'm counting the Devil as a monster when he is really just a character, but if the video counted Surtur as a monster, then I can count the Devil as part of the list. Anyway, back to the Devil's dragon form: - it has seven heads, ten horns, and a crown for each head - its tail is able to drag 1/3 of the stars out of the sky. In modern scientific view of stars, imagine being able to drag all of those stars around with just its tail! If taken in the proper context, it's basically the devil being able to drag 1/3 of Heaven's angels, which is kind of even more impressive feat than dragging around a bunch of giant balls of gas (and I'm pretty sure people have seen videos or artwork showing Biblically accurate angels) - The dragon, basically declared WAR IN HEAVEN and the dragon have his own army of angels which he used to go up against Michael and the remaining loyal angels. - The dragon can bring up a whole flood of water come out his mouth which he used to try to attack the woman who just gave birth. To save the woman, she was given two large eagle wings so she can fly away from the dragon's attack. Basically, if the dragon attacks you, nothing short of holy divine intervention can save you. While Leviathan is a ferocious and powerful monster, at the very least, it simply minds its own business and as long as you leave it alone, you're pretty much safe. Whereas the dragon, it actively seeks out your destruction (like after falling from Heaven, the dragon stood by the woman's feet (who is pregnant and in labor) so the dragon can devour the baby as soon as the baby is born. Its war with Michael (and his army of angels), and Jesus (with his Heavenly army), and after his 2 defeats in revelation and getting thrown in the abyss for a millenium, he comes back out again to try to start his war with God again, but this time God with finally being fed up, destroys Satan and his army with fire from heaven. That not being effective against the dragon, God simply throws the dragon into the Lake of Fire where it is there for all eternity. So yeah, this is my essay as to why Leviathan and the Revelation dragon (aka the Devil), should have been on this list of watchmojo😅😅😅😅

Vampires aren't modern monsters, they existed since the 19th century, also most of the original vampires were daywalkers, the whole burning in the sun thing was a modern addition that was only added 100 years ago, meaning Dracula could technically and canonically drink your blood in the middle of a warm sunny day, unlike Nosferatu who burns when sunlight touches him, Nosferatu invented the whole burning in the sun thing and he was invented 25 years after the publication of the Dracula Novel.
This list is all over the place. How can you put the chupacabra and werewolves ahead of something that tried to swallow the sun? Also, the kraken was killed by Medusa. So how is it more powerful?
I’m a little surprised that Dragon wasn’t mentioned. P.S. if we are talking about Eldritch, you should look up Azathoth - Cthulhu ain’t got nothing on that one
Vampires are not a “relatively modern” myth. I beg to differ. There are a number of origin stories for Medusa that have absolutely *nothing* to do with Typhon. In a late version of the Medusa myth, by the Roman poet Ovid, Medusa was originally a beautiful maiden, but when Neptune (the Roman equivalent of the Greek Poseidon) had sexual intercourse with her in Minerva's temple (Minerva being the Roman equivalent of the Greek Athena), Minerva punished Medusa by transforming her beautiful hair into horrible snakes. Although no earlier version mention this, ancient depictions of Medusa as a beautiful maiden instead of a horrid monster predate Ovid. In classical Greek art, the depiction of Medusa shifted from hideous beast to an attractive young woman, both aggressor and victim, a tragic figure in her death. (My thanks to Wikipedia for saving me a lot of time and typing.
*cough* *cough* Fenrir, the Ultimate Wolf-Kaiju of Norse Mythology power level: Stated to be deadlier than Skoll and Hati, who each consumed the Sun and Moon, Fenrir even killed Odin, the wisest of all Gods and a Master in the art of magic, even Fenrir's lesser siblings like Jormundgard the Midgard Serpent was strong enough to kill Thor, Freaking Thor!!!!
Having Cthulhu here is a bit disingenuous. All the others are creatures whose mythos grew organically out of the cultures that produced them, whereas Cthulhu was simply the product of one person's imagination. I would have subbed in, say, Jormungandr--the Midgard Serpent, for instance.
What a mess of a list. Chupacabra to Cthulhu isn't even a comparison, that's like comparing a single ant to a blue whale. Now if you meant most popular, while still contentious, it would make some sense
Yeah no typhon isn't stronger than Cthulhu. The father of greek monsters vs one who's very presence can cause humanity to go insane and his very awakening from ry'lotha signals the end of the world
Here is a monster even scarier than the number 1 pick. Azathoth. A slumbering lovecraftian creature that could wipe out all of reality by just waking up. For everything we know to be true exists within a dream that Azathoth is having.
Azathoth is a deity in the Cthulhu Mythos and Dream Cycle stories of writer H. P. Lovecraft and other authors. He is the ruler of the Outer Gods, and may be seen as a symbol for primordial chaos.
Srsly? 7 is chupacabra followed by warewolves and next is no. 5 Surtr who can destroy plantes ? I mean, nice power gap between those... If you're making this list, there should be only godlike monsters/titans etc. No freaking chupacabras... srsly :D...
Lots of them: Dragons Like Albion who give birth to Britain Gugalanna the Bull of Haven from Sumerian mithology Leviathan the Serpent (but maeby is another version of Apophis orJormungander) Yamata no Orochi A multi headed God Serpent (another version from Hydra) Chaos (primordial Being father of all even the Gigants from Greek Mithology)
Unleashing Surtur on Asgard was a clever decision. Thanks to him, Hela finally met her end. Unfortunately, that move opened the gates for the attack on the _Statesman_ at the start of _Infinity War._ Still, Thor and Loki, with help from Hulk and Valkyrie, did what they had to do to save their people at the cost of their collective home.
Not sure if you can say "Cthulhu " is a Mythological Monster. Well, he was "created" by an author and not based on cultural mythology. You can say that God is a powerful Mythological creature.

4:06 Werewolf fan here
This is my type of list. 🤘
*cough* *cough* Fenrir, the Ultimate Wolf-Kaiju of Norse Mythology
power level: Stated to be deadlier than Skoll and Hati, who each consumed the Sun and Moon, Fenrir even killed Odin, the wisest of all Gods and a Master in the art of magic, even Fenrir's lesser siblings like Jormundgard the Midgard Serpent was strong enough to kill Thor, Freaking Thor!!!!
10 greatest characters in the Elder Scrolls series
This list feels so random...
How can you go from a devour of the sun to a goat sucker 😂
chuthlu is my favorite of all times
Yeah! I thought he was going to be #1!
What about the World Serpent, Jörmungandr? 🌎🐍🐉
How is medusa only number 9. You literally die if you look at her 😆
I'M GOING TO WRITING A MYTHOLOGICAL MONSTER ON MY MANGA STORIES.
Having Cthulhu here is a bit disingenuous. All the others are creatures whose mythos grew organically out of the cultures that produced them, whereas Cthulhu was simply the product of one person's imagination. I would have subbed in, say, Jormungandr--the Midgard Serpent, for instance.
They put werewolves above apep
Surprised dragons weren’t part of this list.
The One known as Itulu still owes Me a Box. 😊
Zeus: Come on guys we can take on Typhon!!!!!
Zeus: Erm, guys? guys? Hello???
Looks like Egyptians finally figured out about yin and yang
What a mess of a list. Chupacabra to Cthulhu isn't even a comparison, that's like comparing a single ant to a blue whale.
Now if you meant most popular, while still contentious, it would make some sense
Starting with Hunter D was 🔥.
Hunter D definitely left an indelible mark.
No love for Tiamat mother of all monsters?
Surtr isn't a demon hes a fire giant lord the king of them to be exact
I didn’t see one coming 😮🤯
Top 20 Gods and Goddesses in Japenese, Irish, African and Brazilian Mythology!
Who he shall be first 🐔💨🤣🤣🤣
@p-__ Why is he keep saying that?
Yeah no typhon isn't stronger than Cthulhu. The father of greek monsters vs one who's very presence can cause humanity to go insane and his very awakening from ry'lotha signals the end of the world
Where's azathoth
Sleeping
4:00 tye best rapper in tge world😂😂😂
Here is a monster even scarier than the number 1 pick. Azathoth. A slumbering lovecraftian creature that could wipe out all of reality by just waking up. For everything we know to be true exists within a dream that Azathoth is having.
They only list the popular if they make a top 10 base on power scale chtulu mythos entities will all be in list
Azathoth is a deity in the Cthulhu Mythos and Dream Cycle stories of writer H. P. Lovecraft and other authors. He is the ruler of the Outer Gods, and may be seen as a symbol for primordial chaos.
Goku solos low diff
@@ChrisDaAce27 maybe ssb kaioken x20 goku but not base
@@Thathusker445 very low diff easy.
Srsly? 7 is chupacabra followed by warewolves and next is no. 5 Surtr who can destroy plantes ? I mean, nice power gap between those... If you're making this list, there should be only godlike monsters/titans etc. No freaking chupacabras... srsly :D...
Lots of them:
Dragons Like Albion who give birth to Britain
Gugalanna the Bull of Haven from Sumerian mithology
Leviathan the Serpent (but maeby is another version of Apophis orJormungander)
Yamata no Orochi A multi headed God Serpent (another version from Hydra)
Chaos (primordial Being father of all even the Gigants from Greek Mithology)
You missed the Esquilax... the horse with a rabbit head and a rabbit body.
Are there powerful mythical monsters you missed? Yeah, yeah there are.
Released the Kraken

The Loch ness monster gives me the creeps
Unleashing Surtur on Asgard was a clever decision. Thanks to him, Hela finally met her end. Unfortunately, that move opened the gates for the attack on the _Statesman_ at the start of _Infinity War._ Still, Thor and Loki, with help from Hulk and Valkyrie, did what they had to do to save their people at the cost of their collective home.
❤😊😊

Everyone forgets about Dagon and Mother Hydra.
1:59 i see what you did there
That octo creature looks like the guy from futurama
Out of all the monsters on this list Cthulhu is my favorite.
top ten action/war movie shoot outs!
Amazing video Rebecca from watch mojo of mythological creatures/monster out there, fantastic job.
6:53 I am surprised same creature also exists in Arabic Mythology but in a smaller size
I was expecting dragons to be on the list
Not sure if you can say "Cthulhu " is a Mythological Monster. Well, he was "created" by an author and not based on cultural mythology.
You can say that God is a powerful Mythological creature.
while this list is definitely nowhere near 100% accurate, i learned some things. so that's cool.
Top Ten Shared Stories in World Mythologies (I.E. the great flood, gods vs giant serpents).
The only monster im afraid of is mankind.
