  • So, maybe you live in a city where brick, sticks, and bike locks are frequently swinging through the air, and you are wondering if there is a way to protect your head without wearing a helmet all the time. Well, maybe. A bump cap is a great option for folks who work (or live) in places where they might need a little head protection. And if you don't need the protection, then a bump cap is great for keeping your sweaty hats...hat shaped...after you wash them.

    Thanks for featuring our bump cap inserts! Definitely not designed to protect from falling cinder blocks lol (or any other object), but to shield your noggin from donks, doinks and dings when the wearer hits themselves on something (low overhangs or the tree branches like you were talking about). Keep kicking out the content!

      This thing has saved me from many a bumps and scrapes, but I figured 4 year olds with hammers and bricks was more entertaining than me intentionally bumping my head into stuff. And the cinder blocks were definitely just for the entertainment value. The version with extra vents is great by the way, much cooler than the original.

    airforce now issuing them -just bought one and skullerz glasses for vehicle breakdown - combined it would be good protection for vehicle throwing road debris at 50 + mph to your eye or head - great review made me buy it

    Excellent video. I have multiple versions of these, I wear them as part of my EDC kit when I walk my dog or go the grocery store because leaving the house is the most likely time to be assaulted and any head/brain protection can lesson/minimize head trauma if you are attacked/hit in the head or, as you mentioned just bump ur head, so, while not level 3 or even 3A, I can speak from personal exp, smacking your head into a low hanging overhead wood or metal obstruction feels a LOT better while wearing one of these than a regular ball cap. And, yes, it will increase the sweat dripping onto your neck/shoulders, so better for cold environments from a hygiene/laundry standpoint.

    I think they are awesome. Trying to get people to wear safety equipment is a challenge, until they get hurt. I think they would be successful at getting old people to wear because they are more likely to fall as they get older. Some head protection is better than none. If it will prevent trauma to the brain it is priceless.

      These have protected my head from a lot of little injuries, that's for sure. The more I use them, the more I like them.

    I wish I had searched for them earlier like 8 years ago when I hit my head on an airplane wing (16 stitches) and last night when I bumped my head on engine cowling (another 8 stitches). I do work around airplanes a lot and this looks like really amazing head protection for small hits and lacerations, on top of it it looks really stylish too. I am ordering 2 of Ergos tonite.

      These inserts have saved my head more times than I can count. Hopefully they'll work out for you, and you'll have no more stitches in the future.

    nice vid, thanks!! they have a newer style, Skullerz 8944 made of foam. that looks like it should be the lightest but not sure about protection level and how hot that one gets.

    • @Factor85Labs
      @Factor85Labs  Рік тому +1

      Not sure about the foam one, but the Skullerz 8845, the extra ventilated bump cap, is pretty great. Been wearing it since I smashed my other one making this video, and it is a bit cooler. Still hotter than just a hat alone, of course, but not terrible. And it has saved my head from the attic ceiling, which was nice.
