    This is why I love distance racing. 6 miles and it ends with a separation of less than a second.

    ETHIOPIA - Land of legendary long distance runners! Seems like another one is born. … This race tops for me as high as Haile Gebreselassie's win over Paul Tergat in 2000. Can't get enough of it. As a young man, I used to mimic the legend Ethiopian Mirutse Yifter's technique used to win over Craig Virgin in competitions. They should bring that method back. … But, kudos to IBRAHIM JEILAN!!! Outstanding! Phenomenal! … Best of luck in the future!!!

    the last 100 meter by jelan was 12 second and the first 50 meter of the 100m he ran in 5second. The journalist i dont blame him for predicting jelan has lost.

    Yeah I get what you were saying now, I thought you were detracting from them a little bit. It's all good. Most people (who don't understand running) don't get what these guys do... it really is fun to just marvel at how good they are!

    to understand these feat you have to be a runner and see how hard that is

    Do you understand what a 70.4 lap really is? That is approximately 4:42 pace per mile, a speed many people can't sustain for even half a mile. To run 4:42 for one mile is actually a pretty impressive feat, but to talk about sustaining it for 6.2 miles is probably out of the question unless you are a top NCAA guy or professional.
    Never underestimate what freakish performances these guys throw down. There is a reason they are Olympians. Jeilan's second 5k was 13:21 with a 52 last lap. Scary.

    Of course...thats why I said for a "few laps"...around 1-3 at best. Their 1st and 2nd lap (2nd one, now that I resaw the video, was around 75 seconds) is varsity mile speed pace for the mile. I dont know about their 3rd and 4th ones but Im assuming that theyre around the same place or they broke out of the high 60-sec lap pace. I wasnt underestimating them in any way, sorry if I wrote it that way.

    No había visto este 10km, pensé que Mohamed Farah solo había cometido un error, aquí hubo otro, muy mala distribución de la carrera (ultima 2 vueltas); pero excelente carrera de Ibrahim Jeilan.

      @benjaaboy92 9 років тому +1

      dude know your shit before talking please.
      Farah only win because there are no great rivals in the events. He is happy that the true great runners like Kennenisa Bekele And Haile Grebresalasie and more is focus on the roads, otherwise Farah wouldnt have won nothing. think about it. Tell me a time when Farah have run a sub 13 min on 5000 meter? or sub 27min on a 10000m? thats right, you cant!! Farah can only win when the pace is slow, but because there isnt any great runners in the event right know, he looks like hes good.

    • @anjwalke1
      @anjwalke1 9 років тому +2

      Farah has run sub 13 in the 5k and sub 27 in the 10k. You can find it at this link. www.all-athletics.com/node/35632
      Again, I'm not going to argue your opinion but I will state the facts. He's run sub 13 and 27 and is the current European, World and Olympic Champion in the 5k and 10k.
      Also Farah, Bekele and Haile hit their respective primes in the 5k and 10k during different periods of time. I'll let you Google that.

    • @benjaaboy92
      @benjaaboy92 9 років тому +2

      Andrew Walker look at the other comment i send you.. He has run a sub 5k 1 time! and a sub 27k only 2 times, people like Haile and Bekele did it over 20 times.!! And yes they hit there primes in different periods of time, but a World Record is not lying! in my eyes, the guy who has the Wolrd Record is the best.!
