YES, way to go Jack, about time Phil got a good smack, this punch definately rivals Dan Sullivan's left-hook punch on Phil (the only other punch to have knocked Phil cold).
That was a lucky punch. Phil was off guard. It was like when Dennis punched him. Without any warning...hes just standing there talking...not even really looking at Jack...then wack. Out of the blue. So Jack was lucky cos Phil wouldav battered him otherwise
To be honest, Phil was quite over aggressive back in the late 1990's/early 2000's (and during the drug addiction storyline when he burn't down the Vic), even worse than Jack, now he's mellowed down a bit. Although there are many times when I want someone to punch Phil because I find it annoying that he arrogantly acts like an unbeatable hardman (the "I always win" type) at times and seems to get away with most things he does.
Dennis's punch was quite good but it didn't look as if Phil was knocked out (when I saw the clip, Phil appeared to be conscious), the reason why I think Dan's punch was the best was because it knocked Phil cold straight away while Phil only got knocked out here because he fell in the pit but Jack and Dennis's punches against Phil are very close in my opinion.
@david benley What you talking about am not on about all of the branning brothers am talking about when phil punched jack not long after getting with ronnie in 2007, the next day jack offered him a one on one fight when his back was,nt turned and it was only them two
oh i see, but phil did not beat jack up, once it was a sucker punch and peggy and ronnie broke it up before jack cud fight back, though he did floor jack, another time was when jack opened the door and he did not floor jack as jack was ready to fight back, but tbh jack punching which led him to spin and putting him in hospital was bigger damage than phil punching jack.
phil has more lives than a cat, nearly killed by grant in the arches 1994, car crash underwater with grant 1999, shot 2001, car crash 2005, car crash with ian, peter and ben 2007, beaten to a pulp 2009, trapped on the bar in a burning queen vic 2010, two heart attacks and being in a burning B&B 2011, beaten up in prison 2012, punched into the arches pit by jack 2013 and finally nearly killed in a car crash with carl white 2013.
Phil was unreasonably horrible to Jack before when he beat Jack and crushed his car. I am glad Jack gave Phil a punch. However I expected the fight to be similar when Phil punched Derek.
i think this one beats dennis's punch, because of the way it causes phil to spin, still i feel phil and jack are evenly matched in physical battle for now, it could change though as jack is leaving and phil won't definately not let it lie after being put in hospital lol
I don't want to change your own opinion about Phil, I'm just saying what I think about him, anyway my top 10 punches probably would be: 1) Dan punching Phil (even though it was a bit dark) 2) Jack punching Phil 3) Phil punching Den 4) Dennis punching Phil 5) Phil punching Dennis (the dropping punch) 6) Phil punching Sean 7) Grant punching Beppe (during their Vic brawl) 8) Phil punching Jack (Vic punch) 9) Dennis punching Sharon's boyfriend 10) Masood punching Christian
even the first was a sucker punch since jack did not expect it because he was helping phil to get louise. i guess jack punchin phil was the only face to face attack, i'm sure phil would of known jack wud attack him as he was pissin jack of, phil cud of defended it but i guess the punch was just to quick for phil to react.
He didn't hit Ronnie and Roxy when they punched him (although he did rough Roxy up at one point) because he wasn't the girl hitting type, but Jack did hit everyone else who punched him.
His recent win against Jack was also lucky because he punched Jack from behind and Jack was able to hold on to Phil for quite some time. I think Phil would have had more trouble winning against Jack if it was a real fist fight because that was more of a backstabbing fight. I do agree that Phil hasn't completely lost his fighting strength but I don't always like his portrayal as a hardman - lucky punches don't really prove who is harder, just my honest opinion.
Well if they made jack branning into phil hunter from the bill, it would of been better than melowing jack down to a joke compared to jack's initial episodes.
@david benley yh phil went flying but i prefer dennis punch because he was my favourite and plus phil.was at his peak and nobody could take him he was feared by everyone and then dennis came out of no where and knocked him out
Good punch by jack but if phil fell on the floor and not in the pit i reckon phil would of got up straight away. Is a shame jack branning leaving eastenders.
yeh but i think jack would beat steve in a physical batter, because if he can handle army man like sean and power punch phil then he can easily kill steve. Just disappointed why they wasted jack soo much over the years, he shud come without any family connection and be more villainy and smart which was the original plan. the episode where jack gets his own back after phil punched, was a different jack compared to now.
No offense, but I always saw Phil more of a guy with a lucky punch rather than a real fighter like Grant, I mean its a bit unrealistic that Phil always punches someone and then its over (no revenge by the victim) in real life, Phil would have been put in jail a long time ago or ganged up by the people he punched. This is why I think Phil is overated as a hardman, not because he is either at or off his prime but because he rarely had fights compared to Grant during his time in the show.
yh man cant wate to see phil n jack at it agen evan thou i think phil will batter jack in a fight, jack jus got that lucky punch in an caught phil off gaurd but phil maybe be gettin old but he,s still got it
I would say Jack and Phil are about the same in hardness now also the three top hard men in Eastender's I would say is Jack Phil n Vincent also that was a good punch what Jack given Phil on the 25th of Feb 2013 even tho there's no reason for them to come to blows I would really like to see Jack and Mick have a fight but you know who's defor going to win that one dont we Jack all the way I keep messaging the ED page n say that I ant going to rest on till Jack n Mick come to blows.!!!
and Billy Rowse yeah that was a good punch what Jack landed on Phil and knocked him clean out as well for all the time's that Phil pushed Jack around it's about time that Jack finally stood up to Phil because Phil was getting to big for his boot's in my opinion back then but I will say this when Jack first came in to the show Phil could beat Jack in a fight know problem but as the year's have gone by also as Phil as got older I think that Jack would give him a good run for his money now but I am still not sure who would win it would be an hard one to call these day's n I think to myself that it would be a draw now if Jack n Phil were to have a fight now but who know's by the way who do you think would win n I don't mean Phil back in his day I mean right now.?
The way Phil span around😂💀💀
At 1:11 Phil lying on a Giant Chocolate Digestive Biscuit 😃
Supposed to be violent I know, but the way he fell into the hole, hilarious!
It's not like he hasn't had it comin for a while, deserves more tbh
No he need to be beaten up by sean
Well sean got beaten up by jack a few month ago 2019😂

Phil is an interesting character. A combination of hardened thuggish brute and clever scheming manipulating sociopath

Phils moaning is funny as hell after that punch lol
Oh The Memories.
Phil Mitchell 😂😩😂😩😂😩.
Your brother got knocked out mate 🤣🤣🤣
That was a lucky punch. Phil was off guard. It was like when Dennis punched him. Without any warning...hes just standing there talking...not even really looking at Jack...then wack. Out of the blue. So Jack was lucky cos Phil wouldav battered him otherwise
Wouldn't be one sided- it'd be close
ronki23 Phil already beaten up jack.
@@aaww8663 And Jack knocked Phil out cold so they're even.
Hamza Khaliq even? Lol! Phil beaten up jack multiple time.
@@aaww8663 Phil never beat him in a proper fight.
Jack vs Phil
1:00 phil sounded healthy.
This Is The Best One. It's Even Better Than The Time Phil Got Shot.
It was probably those two times when Phil punched Jack which he was referring to.
To be honest, Phil was quite over aggressive back in the late 1990's/early 2000's (and during the drug addiction storyline when he burn't down the Vic), even worse than Jack, now he's mellowed down a bit. When i saw this the first time i had a feeling he would fall in the pit. Same old EE scriptwriters.
And johnnyy allen as well.

Potatoes went down like a sack of spuds on that Digestive Biscuit
@broman178 he did get knocked out because alfie said 'you should have seen him when he got up' in the episode after the punch
Phil was fucking asking for that

It doesn't say, they might say on Sunday though, if not then the full details of the episode will come out on Tuesday
epic punch
A pretty good punch here. The old Phil would of got revenge straight away.
Mind you at least Phil has punched Jack as well.
Phil beat Jack a few week later.
He's an ex cop, there's no way he would turn all villain. Those scenes after he punched him were hilarious.
I remember watching this
and dennis punch on phil that was class probably my favourite but this was a awesome punch

Great punch!!
Phil was unreasonably horrible to Jack before when he beat Jack and crushed his car. I am glad Jack gave Phil a punch. However I expected the fight to be similar when Phil punched Derek.
A wish jack had of punched phil like this when he offered him a straight fight when phil bottled it
I think they should bring vinnie jones as phils business partner
Phil maybe should let Jack Alone
Even though He Wanted FIGHT Him and Definitely Tried to KILL Him
claude speed
They're having a rematch on Sharon's hen night on Tuesday 4th April
it was an elbow and phil had no other way getting for quite some time.

Yeah in two weeks time
i've heard phil will press charges against jack, i mean does that sound like phil mitchell?
what a hit,, jack's prob done lot of weight lifting to get that power.
how come the mobile phones already in the pit before phil even falls?
He didn't hit Ronnie and Roxy when they punched him (although he did rough Roxy up at one point) because he wasn't the girl hitting type, but Jack did hit everyone else who punched him.
