THANK YOU KTLA 5 for the live telecast! Our High School Teams were standing in front of the Grand Marshall and the kids were so excited to be there. Only regret was that when our kids went on the First Opening Float (in front of Fitz and The Tantrums-they were awesome, don't get me wrong), our high school kids were totally being skipped over, this float was not even featured at all. We didn't know what happened there. Lots of parents, families and the supporting communities who were watching on your channel were rather disappointed.

It's a wonderful experience to camp out over night and just enjoy the crazy all night party vibe and then wake up and watch the parade. I probably sound silly but camping on the sidewalk and and maybe drinking a few beers as the nighttime unofficial parade is very entertaining. The real parade is so amazing and magical, we are strangers but if you ever visit California try to make it happen from Christmas to new year's day and enjoy the holidays and the parade....
At about 2:10 is where the nascar float shows up in this video. I watched the parade on tv and after 2 hours,they went to a ball games. It sucked! Thanks for sharing this video! Very well done!

Might want to check your facts, in between the mindless chatter. Penn State Blue Band was in the Rose Parade in 2009 and 2017, not just 100 years ago and today. The KTLA videos of the Blue Band from 2009 and 2017 are on UA-cam!!! 😏😬
Glad you didn't cut away like the NBC Coverage. What a joke. Glad you have a separate feed for just the Bands without Commentary. Still miss Bob and Steph... but at least they went out together. It was still awful when they replaced Steph with Mikayla. Mikayla was fine, but it was just underhanded. Glad they at least brought her back for the last few years. If it was a Tribune idea, I hope whoever came up with it got the can. My only wish now is if you can upgrade this to at least 1080p. The best I can get is 720... which is nice, but wish it was better.
LAUSD was a good band. I have to say, watching and listening to the bands long Colorado Blvd was amazing. The drums could be felt in your bones. Any band that played where I was watching was great, IMO. The spectators were certainly enjoying the parade!
