Because, we are anyways assuming that the man's age will be more than the woman's age.....But, when we see a pairing on screen where the woman looks much older compared to the man, then it doesn't seem to be a natural pairing.... Remember, Kareena did a film with Imran Khan (Aamir's nephew) and Imran is also younger to Kareena....But, the pairing didn't look unnatural because the age difference between Kareena and Imran isn't that much.....But, with Varun, Kareena will definitely look much older and therefore, it would not be a usual pairing......Even with Men, when they are paired with a girl who's much younger to them then the audience finds a bit difficult to accept their pairing...... Like, for most people the romantic part between Salman and Sai Manjrekar didn't look convincing as the audience could see through their age difference......
