@@kickzalonekuz9680 Ah but even dogs not "raised properly" will love their owner unconditionally! This is the truly amazing thing about dogs. They co-evolved with us, so really any dog you love and earn the trust of will love you unconditionally. This is why rescues from bad situations will grow to love you unconditionally just as strongly as a puppy you raise yourself. It may take a little extra time for you to earn their trust in some cases- but once you do you will be bonded forever. I've noticed many dogs with rough starts also feel this almost palpable gratitude for their happy new life and home once placed with a good owner. My own dogs both came from probably bad situations. Our first was probably a chained backyard dog and then dumped, and was a stray. She is a very good dog and was very thrilled with her new life with humans. She is very attached to us and careful not to let us "wander off" haha! Our boy was probably not from a good situation either, as he was apparently seized by police. He was a bit older so it took a little longer for him to trust us, but now he always wants to be close- curled up in the dog bed in the office or lounging on the bed with us. He will trip over himself in a panic when he has to "save" us from the vacuum, or something else that he feels we need to be saved from. For this reason we call him "safety dog" and he has a theme song about saving us from things we don't actually need to be saved from. Both of our dogs had a rough start, and have needed a little extra training for behavioral stuff, but the love they feel for us was not taught- it's just part of who they are. That being said, for all dogs, including those that maybe weren't given the right start to life, it's important to listen to the advice of the shelter workers, and best to have a trainer appointment before or after adoption to see if the dog needs anything special to adjust to his or her new happy home. This is to do with training and helping the dog adjust. Unconditional love though- that's not trained, that's just the nature of a dog!
This video broke me down. This dog looks EXACTLY like my old dog who passed away from cancer some three years ago. His mannersims, his googly eyes, the way the dog turns his head and carries the bag. My dog too saved me and kept me going through a dark time in my life. God Bless. Dogs are a man's best friend. I miss you Soap.
This is why we should have more programs that make it easier to provide veterinary care and pet food and supplies for the pets of homeless people. For many homeless people- their dog is their family, best friend, their life. For many homeless people, they don't eat until their dog eats. The bond between a homeless person and their dog is often unusually strong, and in my experience these dogs are often a joy to other members of the homeless community in the area. I don't think the positive impact of dogs such as this can be overstated. This dog keeps this man from using drugs, provides him with happiness, love, and hope. For a dog, a life with a best friend that wants to be with you all of the time, that loves and protects you, is a very happy life. Walking around, meeting new people, and often enjoying plenty of affection from other people in the homeless community, perhaps even having canine pals of other homeless members, one can imagine it could be a quite a good life for a dog. When you consider that over 1 million dogs in the US lose their life due to pet overpopulation, it's easy to see that every pet provided with a good home (and not bred irresponsibly) is a dog saved. That is why it's important to raise awareness and donate to organizations that assist homeless people with things like veterinary care and transport. If you see a homeless person with a dog, and you have the funds and are willing to help, ask them if they need any dog food, or if you can, ask if they need help with veterinary care, heart worm prevention, or transportation to the vet. Homeless people and their pets are often each other's lives, and you never know- with a donation or the offer of help you may save two lives.
Where has this world gone to? When did lives of humans and animals become so disposable? What a beautiful dog and this man seems like a very intelligent individual with lots of potential . He just has to find his way back. I hope they’re ok now and living a good life.
Omg, love this guy, so intelligent and introspective. And yes, dogs, once again, prove to be practically a cure all for everything that ails we humans. They are truly God incarnate (No coincidence Dog is God spelled backward). So glad this man has this wonderful companion. He is too smart and kind to be out there living on the streets..Hopefully someone will see this in the UK and help him. I'm in US or I'd find him myself and help this wonderful duo.
There is help for these people and their pets! www.PalsNPets.org PALSNPETS, 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to minimizing barriers homeless people with pets face when striving for a better life.
This soul has successfully completed his mission in this life wonderfully. He is absolutely correct. It is all about love. I'm so glad they have each other and can offer this lesson to those who are still asleep about life.
Is anyone going to rescue this man too? No-one should be homeless, no more than a dog!! Please someone find this man and help him, there must be a way. Welfare is there for people like this.
When i worked there was a homeless guy with his dog who i would see almost daily. His dog would actively look for me (because of course i would pet him) and i when i had money (cause i was exactly flush myself) i would go to the pound shop and get some nice treats for the dog and get a meal from the takeaway for him so that they didnt have to worry about food for a little bit. I still firmly believe in not giving money to the homeless because you could be furthering thier cycle of addiction. But a number of times i have left a bag of snacks and bottled water by those camped out in doorways so they have something nice to wake up to.
Dude doesn't seem like a bad feller. He looks employable too. Someone should offer him a job. It's hard to get a job on the streets. Usually you have camping gear like a sleeping bag which you can lose from having to wait 2 hours in an interview. It's good he has support.
Yes, dogs. They don't care what make of car you drive, bank balance, career you have or the type of house you own. Dogs are pure friends most people are just acquaintances.
I love this man. He is a kind and gentle soul and God has blessed him with the unconditional love of a dog. Most people are never able to find that with anything or any one. I pray that he will continue to do well.
What a great inteligent guy, Such a poetic choice of words to describe what is hard to describe in words - true love ! that's what it is all about , having someone who loves you unconditionally and give that back .. hope for the best for two of them !
Ironically homeless people teach you a lot. His choices weren't good, but he's a better person than many with a nice job, house and many material stuff
The Lord is kind. ♥ He talks to us through different medium.....and one of these is a beautiful dog. He brings encouragement, direction etc. and etc. Thank you for this lovely video ♥ God bless you all.
We love you and Bailey :) I wish you the best with your dog sir. You are loved and you are welcomed even though some people just don't care. Sometimes it takes a tragedy or event in your life to wake you up and say, "why am I so ignorant". I've noticed a lot of ignorance around me in my life, and at times I'm sure I have been to, but I try to be good human and help people. I only want the best for people. But, ignorance is a problem in society and I'm glad you sir and your dog can have a connection and see through that negativity and see there's a bigger picture, that is love :). I have to say that I have not been through the experiences you've been through sir, but I have been hospitalized for mental illness several times and even put in a rehab center for half a year, lost close family members to death and illness, and have been diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety. But, instead of feeling sorry for yourself and allowing others to as well, usually, we pick ourselves up and try to make the best of our situations. I hope you know that no matter where you come from, what you look like, and how much money you have, your life is valued and it's sad people just don't see that. I wish you well sir and Bailey too. The universe is on your side and if you listen to fate and the universe, it will always be on your side. Cheers mate :) :)
God bless this man for stop doing heroin and crack that shit is no good and also great loving dog love how he carries the dog food around just so his owner won’t have to
Agree with this guy.. My baby from the street too and when i feel so down She Always Tell Me " when life knock you down.. please just reply.. you hit me like a bitch" and live like Me(my dog) In everything.. if you can't chew it or play with it.. Just pee on it and Walk Away while wagging your tail. My dog is my superhero 😁
After watching the video where the animal rights activists stole a mans dog from a homeless man, then watching this, it just about brings me to tears, as they say dogs being a mans best friend, this dog changed this mans life and to take something as precious as that away from him, it’s like ripping away his other half, like a puzzle awaiting the missing piece, until that missing piece is found and the puzzle is complete and you can tell that there’s been a change, but when you take the One thing in someone’s life especially someone that is homeless and damn near has nothing, that puzzle goes back to how it use to be, incomplete waiting for that missing piece only to find out that missing puzzle piece no longer exists, they fall back into the past and continue they’re past habits or worse they end their life because they no longer see a reason to be alive without their other half.

I love dogs, I feel happy feeding them. But my wife doesn't only like it, she also think it's weird and gives me this face whenever I stop and pet / feed a dog... Let's see if I still have a wife next month.
This dog made him quit crack ???? That’s beautiful
"It's a company. It's having another heartbeat that's on your side..."
I know that quote made my heart sink 😭
A homeless man with nothing in life but a dog and he says 'i count my blessings every day.' I think there is a lesson to be learnt by all of us.
Thank you so much for highlighting this particular statement
