A fly on the wall look at our experience of this years British Shooting Show. We had a great time and spent a lot of money! Don't forget to like us on Facebook:- / 148199778682705
I was there the same day and really enjoyed the show and like you spent way too much, I did go with the intention of buying a few rifles but it was so busy I could not spend the time I would usually like over choosing. Plus I think as i went on the sunday most of the bargains had gone. Great vid as always guys keep up the good work
That was great, some very nice guns all round! What do you think of those ear defenders you had fitted? I have always toyed with getting some and just wanted a bit of guidance as they are very small and would save some bulk. Take care, Mike
I highly recommend emtecs, looking at reviews of them one guy said he drove home and went to bed and didn't realize he had them in still until the next morning as they are so comfy. I wouldn't bother with cens as they cost 20 quid more and are no better unless you have the electronic amplifier in them but they cost a fortune. In terms of sound deadening they are more than adequate although admittedly if i was shooting a lot of .30 cal at the club i would probably wear muffs aswell on top of them. Thanks for watching Mike :)
***** No probs, I don't know how easy it is to find somewhere to get the moulds taken, maybe a hearing aid shop? So going to a show they are at is easier. When mine turn up I'll do a review :)
Hi tim from scottyland again bud lol. Well jel that you got to the show but glad you did excellent vid again. I was coming down on the Sunday but unfortunately funds didn't permit again :-( lol. Are you gunna be doing a video on how good those ear defenders are? Would be really interested in that. I looked into a pair of cens ones but looking at bout £4-500 for a pair of them Ouchy lol. Also are you def gunna go for the long barrelled pistol if so would be interested in how you get on applying for one. Our local gun shop had one in I think they're awesome. Sorry for the essay again. Keep it up lads cheers
Thanks for watching Tim! I will be doing a mini review after I have used them for a while. Emtecs are £80 so not too expensive although you have to find somewhere you can get the moulds done so going to a show is an easy way to do it. And I will definitely be putting down a long barrled revolver as one of my tickets although there are others guns i will get first. It won't be a problem getting one for me as I am in a club it is just a question of getting the £750!
Lol. It's all money aye? I might enquire about getting one asap lol. Although my 50bmg might come first. Look forward to your review. Many thanks take care cheers
Most ear muff type defenders are more than adequate but they do get in the way! But they are comfortable. Most cheap 'in the ear' plugs are extremely uncomfortable. Emtecs should work great.
Hey there, just wondering about those long barreled Revolvers and what sort of Licenses you guys have to get to own and use them in England? Really neat stuff, thanks for sharing. :-)
Long barreled revolvers are 'section 1' meaning they go on a firearms certificate. Legally they are classed as carbines same as any rifle ie: a lever action. The premise of a FAC is you have to prove 'good reason' unlike a shotgun license where the authorities have to demonstrate a reason why you shouldn't have one. As I am a club member it won't be a problem for me other than the cost! Thanks for watching :)
I opted for emtec as they are cheaper than cens. They are just passive cut off valves in them but that suits me. The electric things in cens cost a fortune and they want to service them for £70 every year! You should of come and said hi!
Where in the UK would you recommend to start learning to shoot? I am based in London/Essex any help would be appreciated as I am struggling to find decent info online. Ryan
Well if your pockets are reasonably deep then you could go and shoot at Bisley which is pretty close to you. One of the best clubs in the country. Otherwise there should be a clay ground near you somewhere. Thanks for watching :)
yah they are pretty pricy wherever you go but hay those .50 cal's are illegal in CA,NY,MA,NJ,D.C, so you brits have SOMTHING over some U.S states and no problem :D
:'( the fucked thing about the state I live in (Vermont) is I can just grab my glock and CCW it all day no permit required I can own a full auto M4 (with ATF paper work) but I can't own a fucking suppressor witch at the end of the day is just a safety device so DANM IT
araw540 haha that sucks! I don't understand the US governments aversion to silencers. Here most of the time the police will insist you have one, especially if you are shooting at night with a lamp so you don't freak people out.
i used to have the 6" ti lite in that cold steel case there, it got a giggle out of everyone every time i whipped it open. you oughta get some damn power out of a 12" barrel .44 magnum. that one rifle looked like a bullpup .50bmg, real neat. i demand a video showing the stuff ya bought.
Ah yes, well I didn't buy anything to write home about. I bought some jack pyke trousers with waterproof padding on the knees and ass. I bought a sort of fleece jacket and a bag for my boots to go in when muddy. And of course the ear protection. So nothing exciting! I will be ordering some of that ballistic gel though for a video.
Looked like a great show, thanks for making this !
Yes it was good, not much money left now! Thanks for watching :)
Love your vids mate !!!!!!!!!!
thanks for watching Ash :)

Love all your vids, keep em coming :) whats your view on your Browning b525, thinking of getting one.
Many thanks
Alex
The B525 is a great gun, but so is any gun that fits you properly. Thanks for watching :)
If you get a Taurus get one with the bar not the weird coathanger thing. I've been looking at the Alfa's.
Yes the coat hanger thing is annoying!
I bet you are going to the game fair soon!
Yes the CLA is the weekend after next, I plan to be there!
What is the drone called ???
Great video as always! Be interested to know what you think of the emtec ear protection. Also what other ear defenders do you recommend?

i think i saw you near a knife stand when you were sitting down, are you getting your fitted ear protection with cenz or just the cut off valves ?
I opted for emtec as they are cheaper than cens. They are just passive cut off valves in them but that suits me. The electric things in cens cost a fortune and they want to service them for £70 every year! You should of come and said hi!

Isn't that Zeiss Scope on the Drilling probably a Laser Rangefinding Scope rather than NV?
Well it looked like a night vision unit to me but you may be right.
Zeiss Victory Diarange
8:33 :O >:D and here I was thinking I wasn't going to see any cool guns BTW yes the bull pump at 8:51 was .338 lapua SWEET RIFLE
Yes the long range guys like those calibres, I think it can get kind of expensive! Thanks for watching :)

araw540 Haha! Well that makes a change! Silencers are also pretty standard issue here too ;)
