i have seen 1-18 so far and I have to say that THIS IS THE BEST SERIES i found on UA-cam. Very logical and Natural teaching skills. The method is exceptional in that it focuses on taking the student to SPEAK the language> Not getting lost in grammer. The grammar is coming embedded in the sessions as the lecturer makes up words U get to learn how things are put together. Very nice indeed.
Masallah, this is great sister Alicia or teacher may our creator bless and protect you and your families for your efforts and we too one love one heart Merci beaucoup
Hi Alicia! Is there any regular pattern to tell whether a noun is feminine or masculine? Like why is the bakery store feminine and a supermarket masculine? Is there a reason or just random?
Both expression work perfectly and express the same idea of : shopping for food. It's a bit like saying "doing the shopping" or "doing some shopping" and both are fine in French. Hope that helped dear.
Hi,Alicia ,i really enjoy watching your videos, thanks for all. I want to ask about "à” Does it mean " at" and" to" Je vais souvent à la sall de sport=to à la boulangerie=at ?
'Je fais les courses' doesn't have the verb 'achete', so I don't understand what word represents 'buy' in the phrase. Will it be wrong to say ''J'achete les courses au supermarché''?
faire les courses in a fix expression, you should not try to translate litterally in that case. but you could say je fais les courses et j'achète du pain, de la viande, les fruits….
Merci Alicia ♥ Is it "au supermarche" because it is "le supermarche"? And in that case it would be "au cinema"? It would be great if you could answer, s'il vous plait ♥
You're welcome, Yes, you say je vais AU + masculine word, such as le cinema, le supermarche. but je vais a la banque because it is feminine or la piscine. sorry for this late reply, hope I could help.
Merci for lessons! Sorry, why are so long pauses? Check please from 4.53 to 5.00= 7 seconds! During the first 10-13 lessons, everything was perfect but later your eyes don't burn...
Hi Fatinat, Pour les mots masculins et féminins commençant par une voyelle ou un « h » muet, la préposition est suivie de « l’ » Exemple : Je vais à l’hôpital.

Bonjour, Ce quoi la différence entre la bibliothéque et la librairie ? S'il vous plait .
Tu vas à la librairie pour "acheter" un livre, mais tu vas à la bibliothèque pour "emprunter" un livre, et le rendre ensuite. :)
Je fait le course = running in a race
Je fait les courses = doing the grocery

Hi One Zero,

Madame, pourquoi vous dites "à l'hôpital" ne pas "au hôpital " malgré que il est un nom masculin ?🤔
Hi Fatinat,
Pour les mots masculins et féminins commençant par une voyelle ou un « h » muet, la préposition est suivie de « l’ »
Exemple : Je vais à l’hôpital.
J’aime ton viande
