crazy thing about the song is its a hidden track on their first album I fell asleep with headphones on listening to the album and was woke up by tightrope when it started playing its by far the best song they ever wrote

This is exactly what happened to me also! I was startled awake and literally fell in love. I had a cd player and it didnt have a function to rewind, only fast forward, so I would start the final track over and over, only to ff to the secret song Tightrope

Its quite refreshing listening to this hidden to their 1st record. Laid back song thats so different from the rest of the album
When I noticed the last song kept counting (the only way to tell back then; if it wasn't written 'hidden track' which was very uncommon, but I knew there was gonna be something awesome. Just wasn't expecting this masterpiece. Hands down my favorite song by them. I miss albums having hidden tracks and hidden guest artists producers etc. It was fun. Good times.
