Anybody who thought they'd defeat Russia is now looking awfully foolish. Moreover, the effects on lowering costs for China and India (with cheap fuel) and improving their competitiveness are eye-popping.

The annual revenue of Russia on oil alone is bigger than the GDP of many middle income nations. What were the west thinking in attempting to disrupt such a major trade of such a critical commodity?
Thank You for your comment. The majority of Western politicians are not elected for their common sense or understanding of economics but their willingness to do the bidding of their Globalist masters. Contrast them ( G7) with the people leading the BRICS with Lula, Modi, Putin and Xi and you can understand why the Global Majority is siding with the BRICS as they strive to created a Multi Polar World where they will have seat at the table and voice that is heard.

Russian government need roubles to cover it's expenses. When local currency is devaluated, more taxes come in local currency. Remembering ability of Russian Central Bank to control international value of rouble, Russia could spend more funds on whatever it need. Budget is proficient again, as it was for years.
Another thing to remember about Russia, salaries grow and summs of taxes from personal income with them.
Also new progressive tax system was finally implemented yesterday.
@@olekscap4620 , you should write some numbers with such news. In Russia income tax is 13% up to 2.5 miln ₽ / year . It is like 25th €. In Estonia this sum is taxable by 20%.
And new system will be "implemented" only next year!
