- We installed our RIPP supercharger on a 2020 Dodge Durango GT with a 3.6L V6 Pentastar engine. The results speak for themselves - from 202 HP stock to 394+ HP!! True SRT V8 performance in a V6.

I've been following you guys for a while and understand the increased power and slight increase in mpg. What are the fuel requirements and can low octane be used if someone isn't interested in peak performance?
Hi @infiniteyep5224 - we strongly recommend only using 91+ octane to get the optimal performance from our supercharger kits. A little more money at the pump for more smiles per gallon

Will this increase the towing capacity of the vehicle? I know I would have to upgrade the standard towing package that comes with it but could it tow what the V8 is rated to tow?

This is a great question. The supercharger kit does not increase your vehicle's towing compacity. Due to the increase in power, it will make it easier to tow, but you vehicle still can only pull so much weight before breaking. Would this work with a 2019 Grand Caravan or are the electronics of it only for the durango?

Do you need to tune it after install and what about the sport hood with the holes do you have a cover for rain

We send a base tune with all of our supercharger kits, though we do recommend doing Dyno Tuning after the fact, due to the fact that all vehicles are a little different. Can the gt handle the 394 to the wheels without other mods

Wouldn’t a turbo be more beneficial, you wouldn’t lose HP running the SC

Turbos are awesome, they have a great increase in power, slightly more than a supercharger. On the contrary, superchargers may make a little less power but are a lot safer for engine longevity. First off, the supercharger creates no heat, it is belt driven in comparison to a turbo being exhaust driven. Secondly, Our supercharger kit is 100% bolt on, no cutting or trimming of any pipes or internals of your engine. Thirdly, the supercharger is very safe for a longer drive. Since there is cooler air intake, and a lot less stress on the engine. Is there a number of miles on a vehicle where you wouldn't suggest adding the kit?

That is a great question. The simple answer is no, there is no upwards cap on when we do not recommend the kit. We have a few tests that we do recommend running on your engine prior to install. Please contact tech@RIPPmods.com for more information on those tests.
Cants say the same, i had 2015 durango with 90k miles had to trade in because transmission whining noises on 2d and 6 gear,
Now i own a 22 GT , and with 40k miles is already making the sames noises at 2d 4t amd 6th gear.
Can I really trust the factory transmission to an extra 100hp?
