  • On my way to Portugal, I stopped at Doñana National Park, a historic natural area in Spain. Years ago, it was devastated by several oil spills. The dunes there are mobile due to the strong Atlantic winds, making it perfect for sports like windsurfing. Even today, you can see centuries-old pine trees buried under the dunes in their original soil.
Local women told me that a few hundred years ago, a tsunami flooded the entire park, sweeping away a Moorish watchtower. Today, that tower lies upside down on Matalascañas beach, with its base protruding from the water-a remarkable sight I didn't get the chance to capture on video.
I hope you enjoyed the video.
