Police should inform the reason for pullover rather than acting like how they did. Police should respect the citizens of India as we pay taxes to maintain the law and order. If police feel there is a violation of law, cancel the license and request the citizen to retake the theory exam again in which all RTO law should be covered. Or include all these in driving exam before conducting driving test. I appreciate the rider for respecting police and co-operating with them.

Big mistake to handover your bike keys to cop, you would have ask him to file a case on specific reason or collect the fine as applicable, but should not collect the keys from riders or drivers whoever it is.

Why couldn't you tell them that you will pay the Fine at Court. By that time you can put case against them if you have proof showing your Innocence. Many of us won't go behind this thinking that it's headache and this is their advantage too. So it's time to fight if someone unnecessarily pull you out. They also have monthly target. But doesn't mean that they can fine anyone.
If you take this matter to a court the judge will only ask you have u done this or not.... If you say you haven't....then suddenly the court will postpone the hearing which maybe next month...... Then again you have to go to the court and at that time the sub-inspector who have charged the case won't appear.....then the case will again postpone..... Again this scenario will repeat atlast you will understand you are really fucked up and you will accept to pay the fine...... Police officers can skip hearing by saying they have some kind of special duty or something so there will be no penalty for him..... All that is going to happen is you spend lots of your money to the advocate and your travel expenses Also for your information for single lane road the maximum speed limit maybe 30 or 25...... So if you done 35 only they can easily charged you for overspeeding

This is what happens when people are unaware of their rights. It is illegal for traffic police to take away your vehicle keys, as stated in the Motor Vehicles Act 1932. Further, they were not even traffic cops, nor did they have the challan book or E-challan machine with them. The policeman sitting behind him and taking him to the police station for a speed violation is a textbook example of public harassment and abuse of power. This guys owns a KTM and still got exploited, think about the poor who don't know anything about the law.

Iam really pity on the police officers who are working lower the designations of DSP. The IPS officers are being trained to train these lower designated officers. Still these officers doesn't change. Dude call your lawyers. They have no evidence of your speeding. Do they have a speed gun or an internal recording? On what basis did that police office trespass on your property(In your case this is the motorcycle). On what basis did he allegedly force you to go to the police station. So many things. If they have charged you for speeding then go to the court and the court will do Justice. They will have to pay your lawyer fees and also compensation for mental agony and so many things...

Further, they were not even traffic cops, nor did they have the challan book or E-challan machine with them. The policeman sitting behind him and taking him to the police station for a speed violation is a textbook example of public harassment and abuse of power. This guys owns a KTM and still got exploited, think about the poor who don't know anything about the law.

Iam really pity on the police officers who are working lower the designations of DSP. The IPS officers are being trained to train these lower designated officers. Still these officers doesn't change. We are into the development. So obviously we are also the same as foreign countries. So I really really want these Indian police men to have respect on bikers who are doing in their limits with the respective documents of the vehicle and with their licences. This is main drawback why people still doesn't go to a police station like any other government offices in India.. 😑

Dude call your lawyers. They have no evidence of your speeding. Do they have a speed gun or an internal recording? On what basis did that police office trespass on your property(In your case this is the motorcycle). On what basis did he allegedly force you to go to the police station. So many things. If they have charged you for speeding then go to the court and the court will do Justice. They will have to pay your lawyer fees and also compensation for mental agony and so many things...
