That was some great fishing. This water has been fishing its top off for quite some time. Always seems well stocked. So many videos pointing out going deep and fish slow. These are cold water fish. I for one am not surprised to see them taking the dry. We have been taking fish high in the water for years, even when it appears no fish are on the top. Looking forward to your next video. Oh watching you fish really reminds me of our Justin Allen. He evens says the same thing when hooking a fish.
@@shaunfishes101 definitely, the top of the water where the inlet is seems to be fishing well for months now. If you can spend some time working things out and pick away at them your in for some great sport 👍🏻
Hiya mate, if this wind is still up I will be at bessy on Sunday. I love it there when it’s wild, the top hat and buzzers on a long leader, they love it. 👍
@@garyjackson1012 yea it’s a fantastic little water the top lake being my favourite on the platform. Probably the closest fishery now to where I live in Keswick. Tight lines 👍🏻
Great video, loved the comments about the Drone, footage would have been great but top man for thinking about others. Pennine is a great fishery, looking forward to getting back there.
Greys Streamflex Mk1 10ft 5wt. Casting a new Airflo Cold Weather Floater that will be on the market soon 👍🏻 Stays super soft and supple even in freezing conditions
@@cmsportsfitness8943 hi mate, in the morning a Fulling Mill tan daddy. Then later in the day a size 16 black CDC very plain all black. If your needing photos just drop me a message on insta will send some over. Tight lines
Great video Derek. I'd never have thought to try a dry in the middle of winter. I fished there today and all my fish were caught deep but conditions were very different. What dries did you catch on other than daddies? How light/ what leader did you use? Hopefully see you there sometime.
Great to see another Scottish fly fishing videographer another brilliant video Derek. Is that the same water that MD fly fishing fishes at? have you met him there by any chance haha
@@williamthomson2548 thanks mate 👍🏻 yes it is can’t say I have ever meet him though. I tend to only fish the banks in the winter months and then on the boats lochstyle during the open season.
Great video, Derek again, Pennine is a great place. Looking forward to seeing Bessie Beck video next. Keep the videos coming tight lines.🎣👌
