Well there's boot managers that can be installed before dos, etc. That can then semi boot to a menu & then real boot to usb. The only times I had to do that was for old machines that needed hdd utils before even format was allowed. Not sure if that'd allow an os install, pretty sure it could be baked in somewhere.
If you go to "winworldpc.com/product/windows-95/patches" there are downloads for 95 and one of them is for this error, if I remember correctly it's because the processor is too fast but there is a patch for it.

gearratio380 in that case X is the letter of your CD-ROM drive under the boot environment. Replace the D eith X. For example when I type 'copy D:\WIN95\*.*', type instead 'copy X:\WIN95\*.*'

dual boot ?? sounds to me like you are going to mess around with a "boot manager"?? search youtube for that. At startup you can choose to boot different setups/windows. I dont have talent for boot managers. :-)
get fdisk this is needed for dos partitions you need primary than secondary partitions the secondary one can accept logical drives and burn it to cd or floppy
What I know for the quality of the Philippine Made and Chinese Made HDD usually had tendency to go bad creating a bad sectors for the sectors, also when using the HDD on the regular basis, the Philippine and Chinese Made HDD will likely corrupt everything and lost all of its data, and you can't get access to the profile, or format the HDD where it's no longer allowing you to get it working again by re-create the partition. Philippine and Chinese Made HDD is one of the worst design ever in my own look-up. On the other hand, Thai Made and Japanese Made HDD is the real good HDD such as Quantum Fireball (of course it's been gone), and Western Digital, the HDD is designed to last long and ever where you can use them on the regular basis without having to worry about losing its data or anything that has values in the partition data for the HDD, I mean Western Digital HDD is real good quality in today's standards. Though Sadly, in Japan, they no longer producing the HDD other than them other HDD companies went to different countries including Philippines, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Though Samsung alone produce their own quality from South Korea, and they expand another facility in China and produce the same amount of data, different quality built. Again, Chinese Made HDD is the worst design ever, same thing as goes for Philippine Made HDD. Toshiba HDD from China and from Philippines are the worst quality ever, same thing as goes for Seagate HDD from China two. Again, Western Digital is the good HDD in now days.

You have to go back to the directory where you copied the cab files. In there will be the 'setup.bat' file that you need to run

first nd command doesnt work, second when i boot from the hdd it shows windows 98 splash screen and then dos. what the hell is going on?
It's MD for make directory. Don't worry about the Win98 splash. I just followed along on a computer, once you run Win95 setup it doesn't come up again

i think your drive is too big for your bios to be recognised!

you also definitely dont want to use FAT12 for the hard drive, FAT16 or 32 is what you want there
