That's the best part about Studio Yuraki. Every other cover artist has a very obvious "sound". Ama Lee does lullaby -esk covers of every song she touches. NateWantsToBattle does more metal/pop covers. And those are not bad cover artists. They are pretty awesome. But Studio Yuraki truly capture the feel of the original in every piece they cover. They find ways to mimic some of the most prominent instrumental details that are completely ignored by other cover artists. They also capture the meaning of the song in a way that melds brilliantly with the rhythm and often adding in rhymes or other beautiful touches, while also producing a meaningful train of thought in the music, where applicable. They make the song feel like it was written for English, not like it was adapted to English. And this very careful attention to detail from song to song, across a number of styles, every single time... They are all so amazing and DIFFERENT. Each one matches the original song so much more closely than do most cover artists. Yes, technically, there is a "Studio Yuraki sound" that is common to all of their music. But that has more to do with the fact that they cover music from a similar genre, and that they have a limited number of vocal artists. In fact, I'd say the most distinct "Studio Yuraki" feeling is that feeling of "rightness". Comparing most songs with the original, it feels like Studio Yuraki pronounce the lyrics more cleanly, the instrumental is less muddy without losing its complexity... it feels a little bit better than the original. Maybe that's just the magic of Studio Yuraki and English being my preference, but... truly good stuff. I support them on Patreon. If you like them, you should too. Although I wish they'd sell their music individually. In our world, we spend so much money on shitty quality nonsense. Why not splurge and spend a little money supporting something you really love? Even if you don't *have* to...

I love me some Amalee, Jonathan Young, Nate, Tre Watson, Caleb Hyles, Ionic, and many many more I'm sure... theyre all insanely talented don't get me wrong at all. But they kinda all have a specific style and sound. Compare Jonathan Young's cover of "Bloody Stone" to Amalee's for example. Totally different songs even though they're the based on the same opening song "Bloody Stone". But they're night and day different. Neither one is a bad experience and they both do what I wish I could even capture a fraction of. This track here feels exactly like the opening of Bleach. Like fills me with the same sense of awe and wonder. Like as the intro shows Ichigo as the camera pans around him showing different outfits and some aging like time progressing. This song captures that spirit to a T! And without the language barrier for me. Simply a masterwork. I think this applies to all covers though. Look at "Man Who Sold The World" and the various covers. You have Nirvana's which sounds really good, but is clearly is a Nirvana "twist" then you have Midge Ure's version, which is closer to Bowie's original. They're both really solid imo. So while all covers I've listed I love and think are incredible, you have a point. This person covering here does something different and recreates the work in whole. Tempo, word speed, sound, lyrics all fit and feel as if it could very well be official.

The pop/punk singing is great and honestly, the effort gone into translation and instrumental accuracy is phenomenal! Only downfall is the rapping cadence just *isn't* there 😢
Yesssss! You have no idea how much of a connection I have to this song. Bleach was the first long-running anime that I completed, and this was the very first thing I heard when I started that journey. I know some people have op 13, or 9, or 2 as their favorite, but this has always been mine, and I'm so glad that you covered it, and I'm even happier that Bleach is finally going to be able to have it's anime finished. Bleach and the TYBW arc have their problems, but I love it regardless, and can't wait to see it animated
