Excellent. Great to see some mandocello and mandola content. I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the family, the tenor guitar and tenor banjo, to say nothing of the mandobass and piccolo mandolin. 🙂👍
Remebers me some chords of Led Zeppelin's, even some on guitar, but especially the song "Thats the way", 9 track of the first cd of "How the West was won". Why are mandolas and mandocellos so expensive? I play cello and wanted to pick up mandocello, but had to settle for a mandolin. Seems most mandocellos I find cost more than a bowed cello 🤔
I would say most likely because of the popularity of the instruments. The mandocello is not as popular as a standard cello is that's why there aren't many inexpensive options on the market. This specific model from Eastman has high quality all solid woods that have been hand carved and voiced to best fit the instrument. The hand carving process is much more labor intensive thus also driving up the prices.
this makes me think: why is guitar the outlier with such arbitrary tuning ? all other strings are more logical fifths and fourths. wth with the random maj 3rd ? i dont buy it!

Great tone
What a lovely sound those instruments make 🎺🎸🪕🪘

Mandocello-This Is The Way
What make is the mandola? Love it!

Mando Family Ties. I'm digging this pilot. When does the series air?
Is there a Mandobass?
Yes, there is but, I don’t know if any company currently produces them. Back in the day Gibson offered the entire mandolin family of instruments.
Jem Finer played mandola.

mandocelli sounded good
mandola and octave sounded tinny and cringe might need better strings?
