I really loved the concept of this video and the editing, so creative ! Loved it. I am loving your videos so much and saving all the tips. Getting back to jewellery after studying it over 10 years ago but got busy with kids and life. Trying to set up a studio at home and hopefully sell. Thank you for sharing!

You should definitely try it!! It's very simple and honestly, it works! I keep wearing mine, the one I made in this video, and I can see the difference already (my fingers). Good luck! And thank you for watching 😍
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, could you please tell me what do you use to polish the ring?... Which kind of compound?... Thanks in advance.
Basia you’re so adorable, i can’t take it 😍🤗😂 that intro!! But seriously, your energy and your videos are so incredibly uplifting and it made me more confident with joining the makers community - it’s such a wonderful place! That tool also looks amazing. A fellow jeweller of mine made a ring that has that wider tapered shape on each side, only it’s got a more pronounced “waist” and sharper angles, but since we don’t have a took like that he did it entirely on a ring mandrel, which is insane to me, it’s soo much work… i’ve been looking at tools like this one for a while, so i might actually give it a try now.
Such a great video and funny commercial! You make me smile! Btw, this green hoodie suits you, Basia! Also that charming white dish for aromatherapy! 😍 Could you tell me what is the Korean channel you are talking about?
You absolutely should! :) As for an alternative, I would use a dapping and doming tool and one of the larger mandrels :) I'll show this trick in the next tips video!
Basia, you are so stinkin' cute (complimentary expression)! Love this, and the intro is fabulous. I hope you are selling those in that packaging - what a great idea!
Hello! Such good videos. I wondered what the vice thing is that you have your bench peg attached to is? Because my bench is a bit low for sawing... and my stool cant be adjusted ! So I wonder if this is something that might help me! Thank you!
I would totally recommend that solution! It was a live saver for me :) Here is a video in which I'm showing that solution and how it's done: ua-cam.com/video/xXxV0JErX7w/v-deo.html I hope it helps! :))
When using silver wire for rings, it’s it advantageous to use dead soft vs half hard to begin? Will half hard quickly become to hard to work with or will dead soft be too soft to hold shape?
yes! Of course it will depend on how much you hammer, the difference might not be significant. But if you do hammer a lot, it can be a lot, even half a size. So it's better consider this prior to hammering
Very fun beginning to this video. Have you seen the Fretz Now That’s a Hammer double peen hammer? One side is a very small ball peen and made a lovely, fine texture.
hahaha, Glad you liked it! Not sure about those acting skills, but I sure had a lot of fun 😆😍 I'm a massive fan of commercial parodies (like snl etc) and wanted to make mine forever :))
Hiya Lady Stardust, how much did they have to pay you to endorse, 'AspinAring'? What a wonderful advert, the parody was spot on, thank you it's been a while since I laughed so hard. The staging was perfect, turning into each comment, the glasses completed the costume perfectly. The product box was perfection. Now the actual, AsinAring, is well made, I like the hammered/not hammered finish. They polished up perfectly and looked like they were actually made by a professional jeweller??? Hehehe. As if you weren't!!! I've only seen a ball punch used before, and that looked so much easier. Well done, and yes loads more of these please, fire up our imaginations ready to build for ourselves. Your easy to follow tutorial was perfect, thank you for that too. Stay safe, Steve...
Hi Steve! Thank you so so much for watching and for your kind words! I'm very happy you like the video 😁 I've had a lot of fun making it! I was worried if the cringe wouldn't be too much, but hey, this is my sense of humour, gotta deal with it! 😁 Oooh, a professional jeweller, who's that?? 😁 But yes, I've practiced my polishing and I like the effects. Soon I should be able to make the promised video about polishing. Thank you Steve, I'm excited for next videos, as I have more ideas and I'm excited to experiment with the format some more. I will also improve my lighting and sound! So I'm positive that future videos should only get better with the quality! :))
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing future videos should only get better? How when your level of excellence is so high already? Wow, thanks a lot! So happy you enjoyed it :))
I really want to try this, thanks! What would you use if you didn't have tbe tool that you use at the end to create the flare shape?
You absolutely should! :) As for an alternative, I would use a dapping and doming tool and one of the larger mandrels :) I'll show this trick in the next tips video!
@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing oh thanks! I'm about to try it but with copper instead 😅
Can I ask why calculate how long you need the wire and not use a ring measure?

Super work🥰🥰
How do u price ur metal?? Say for a name necklace how do I kno what price to put for the metal that’s in using since I buy a big piece??
This is brilliant
Thank you! 🙏
What type of metals can you not use with this tool?
I'm not sure I understood, did you mean hammering will enlarge the size (the diameter) or the width of the ring?
yes! Of course it will depend on how much you hammer, the difference might not be significant. But if you do hammer a lot, it can be a lot, even half a size. So it's better consider this prior to hammering
